So... what's under the temple?

It's so perverse that I kinda like it.

This thing will probably be great, but I actually think it would have been neat if they went with a bonkers turbo 4. Kind of like an S version of N20. Have there be any S-4cyls since the S14? I mean there was the S42 for racing, but it never made it to the street...

What if you just don't go above 2.5-3k rpms until the cars warm?

What am I looking at?

Yeah - I mean - I'm not really talking about this classified specifically, just 6spd E60 M5s in general. Future Classic. That combination of engine, gearbox and sedan packaging isn't going to be produced again by BMW or anyone else.

Also - black/black? What's not to like?

Guys - this a a four-door sedan with a V10 and 3 pedals!!!!! That will literally never happen again. It's a no-brainer and future classic, in my mind. If I wasn't a student again, and poor, I'd be all over this thing.

P4! P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4 P4!

It's hard to pull off, but when it's right, its oh-so-right.

Let's see. Your M20 makes 67.2 hp/liter. This 2.0 skyactiv would make 77.5 hp/liter. Yes - there should be more advancement in hp/liter over 25+ years, but I don't think an M20 is the best way to illustrate that point.

Yeah but mouse-hair, green glue and exposed composites are fucking bad-ass. Shit plastics everywhere are not.

Kind of like a Fiat Macan, which is a nice looking car, if not daring.

I also prefer the battery in the trunk, but I'd be surprised if it's the location that makes the battery last longer in your NA. Don't modern cars just trickle more juice? I know I can leave my E30 sitting for much longer than my father's Silverado, which drains its battery if it isn't used for more than two weeks.

I love this thing - but that interior is just in really poor taste. If it was original, it would be a charmingly ugly reminder of the car's original era, but why redo the interior in that awful color combination?

I like the 458 a whole lot more when the roof and pillars are body colored. Saw a black coupe the other day and it was fantastic looking.

I meant the Lingenfelter Corvettes that kinda look like C2s but have modern A-pillars. But yes, I think you're right those other red and black things are Polaris' new three wheelers?

So... what are those things in the lead photo. Rebodied c5/6s?

Besides the blue accents - which I agree are unnecessary - how does the i8 look like a hybrid? I think it looks like the goddamn future. It's a concept car that's actually on the street. It's beautifully dramatic. I drove along side one on the Pacific Coast Highway and that thing just looked fantastically futuristic -

The 5 Series GT represents the worst of BMW trying to create solutions to problems that don't exist. Much uglier than a standard 5 Series and not much added practicality.
