Woah! Are those lights in the wing mirrors?

This thing is underrated. The design is more congruent than a 650s, which is a bad mashup job. The front ducts mirror the intakes on the side really nicely, while also tying in with the shape of the rear.

Seriously, Gawker - can we get a "mark as spam" button in the triangle drop-down?

I saw a D-type at Cars and Coffee, and various 1 of 1 concept cars at shows, but that feels like cheating, so just stuff seen on the street:

Sergio Marchionne has some seriously lofty goals for Maserati. In order for the brand to survive, it needs to go from niche maker of orgasmically devilish sounding sports cars to a full line automaker that can compete with your BMWs and Audis of the world.

"Could be an elaborate rouse"

Yeah, but he doesn't really dog it, he just doesn't kill himself trying to be the best.

I watched this and then the Chris Harris F40/F50 video again. My god - I've never wanted something as badly as I want an F40.

"While Sir Moss may have been better served by keeping his trap shut, I'm seeing very little evidence that the content of his statement is false.

Weirdly, the source says BMW considered what would've been a very boosted turbo'd four based on a future engine family.

I test drove this car. It's pretty damn quick.

Nah. In fact - how disappointing that he caved to popular and boring opinion, and went for standard red. All my favorite Ferraris are something other than red.

Wait - is that the hood/bonnet thingy fully open? Presumably it opens more fully for access to stuff besides the battery, washer fluids, etc.?

If this was the the 3-series sedan, then I would stand up and applaud this thing. That would be a bold move.

How did that happen? Two reasons, according to Mini engineers: to add more safety features and because their customers asked for a Cooper with more space. The last one doesn't make too much sense to me. The car's small size is one of the things that appeals to me most, but I must be in the minority in this.

One of my all-time favorite cars. I really wish there were more joint projects like this in the world. I love how instead of dropping a Porsche motor in, Porsche applied their expertise the Audi I5. Then threw on Porsche brakes and mirrors. Just a super cool combination.

Hey Jalopnik,

Wow. That Subie ad will definitely stay with you. Makes me feel for all those guys in tow trucks or at junkyards (not to mention EMTs, etc.). I think I would stop asking if they lived, cos I'm not sure I could always handle the answer. It could really wear on you; looking at all that wreckage and remembering that

Wow - these look like wild concept art from some film or video game.

Could you actually go up and look at it? It was in a glass room at the LA Auto Show, only viewable by appointment. Such a dick move by Porsche. Legitimately had me rankled.
