Let's be honest. Driving a stick is not all that difficult. It doesn't take long to get comfortable enough to drive distracted or make poor decisions. Still, if it helps reduce distracted driving by even a small amount, it seems like a good idea to me. It's certainly more engaging. And it definitely makes most cars

"Also, life is too short not to have what you really want."

Wait - that's it? No more information? Is this a supercharged M20? Was it stroked first? Is it swapped? I mean - I clicked on the hat-tip link, and scrolled through the comments, but no - no more information than "supercharged e30."

Love Car Talk for Sunday Matinee.

A little math. I just bought a 1991 318is. The original msrp was $22,125 according to cargurus.com. This was the cheapest Bimmer at the time, and is a pretty perfect comparison given their similar character. In today's money, a 318is would have cost $37,714.19 . So yeah, the price is pretty reasonable.

Wow. Look at that front end. Shame they never built it. It looks ahead of its time.

Cool project. I'd rather he kept it black and white rather than adding color.

If you want to force me to drive a GTV, I will not complain. Seriously, make me drive a 1750 GTV. Do it.

Can we get rid of the DH. I'm a Yankee fan, but it just feels wrong. Every player on the field should bat. It just makes sense. Plus, Somehow I think watching CC bat would be more entertaining than Hafner.

Wow - that front end could be something really good.

I've always like Alfa's various circle-spoke designs. Like,

WTF are slush mats, anyway?

The 159 wagon and S4 Avant are the two cars I've built on the co.uk sites more than any car here in the states.

Ugh. Why is my least favorite host on this mediocre show the one who gets to drive it!? I mean - put Tanner behind the wheel.

Brilliant episode. Best in a while. Have to think they're gonna have Hammond do something very stupid with his Impreza to even the playing field. Clearly the best choice. I'm with everyone else - 1500 gbp seems low for all of these.

Film Crit Hulk broke it down on The Onion Tweet best: http://badassdigest.com/2013/02/26/film-crit-hulk-smash-hulk-vs.-the-context-of-comedy/

Can someone remind me what the intent of the raised-nose rules is? Is it for safety?

This thing got really handsome. Is the Up! ever gonna make it to the States? I was in Belgium last year, and rented one with a 5spd. What a great little car. I would love the GT version they talked about on Top Gear this week.

Wow - take some Audi, add some Alfa and you get something that's really quite handsome.

Huh? Isn't the 4wd system arguably the thing that makes the GT-R the GT-R.
