It was a piece of shit when it rolled off the assembly line. It’s still that same piece of shit.

I haven’t seen a NASCAR guy like this in a while... He is NASCAR.
They’ll just keep moving North polluting the entire nation with there bullshit.
That’s the funniest goddamn thing I’ve seen today. Made me laugh even more than the flying LeSabre.
Couple of douche bags. Obligatory: Fuck Florida.
Glad someone posted that flying Buick! Absolutely hilarious.
On one hand this is cool. On the other it’s not 9k cool. I’m sure that ladder frame is mostly rust by this point.
Why does it appear that the seats are always crooked in these cars? Look at the front passenger seat from behind... looks like its tilted towards the middle of the car. Every GM of this era seems to do that.
Who even knows they exist?
Only Chrysler ... er... Stalantis would be so incapable as to remove their only entry in the largest vehicle sales class in the world without a ready replacement.
Holy shit.
It’s funny because I drove the piss out of mine every time I drove it and the only thing that ever went wrong was the goddamn window slid off the track. That and the never ending tail light burnout issue. I kept a few onboard just in case.
Exactly... it was FUN to drive and it drove like a car costing a LOT more. It was solid, quiet, dare I say “luxurious”? Go look at Civics, Corollas or other small sedans at the time... it was no comparison.
This brings back fond memories as I had the same drivetrain in mine. Fresh outta college it was my first car purchase on my own. I loved that car. It looked good, had a great (for the time) 300w monsoon sound system, leather etc etc.
Sigh. If this wasn’t a rebuilt I’d consider it just for nostalgia.
I’d hazard a guess they had traction control fully on which cut momentum until there was no momentum to be had. Traction control in slow / ice is useless because as you rightly pointed out, spin those tires!
I wouldn’t buy a car without a traction control cutoff for this exactly reason.
Because they are stupid? I don’t have much else on this matter...
33 9 for top trim? I priced out a current gen Encore and it was 39.5 something. Eek.
Right. Obviously you can get absolutely crazy with BMW options but if I were in the market for a tiny CUV and my options were a BMW or Buick... I’m taking the BMW
That it’s the fucking MBTA Orange line (work in downtown Boston, there is simply no need for a car anymore)
Starting price. Yeah, the bargain that let’s them say that it’s cheaper than a ford escape (which is both larger with a actual engine). Add on some basic options and you are in the 35-40 grand range easily.
