Jeeze, it feels like the HD remake just came out and it was 12 years ago! Goodness. I’d be down to see a refresh on this.

GTFO, it looks fantastic. 2D games can be just as amazing (if not moreso, in some cases) than 3D games.
Of all the reviews shown Mika has to be one of the dumbest people on earth. How the fuck did you not know it was a mech game? The fucking pictures are right there on Steam! Are they the type just to smash the buy button without actually looking at what they are buying?
It’s been a minute since I’ve replayed Titanfall 2, but I feel like the titans were way clunkier than the ACs. Am I misremembering? Weren’t they slow and cumbersome?
It definitely takes a little bit to get used to piloting the ACs, but once you get going, they feel pretty good.
When this was first announced I was stuck in a speculation loop with the thinking “how is this going to be done and fit with modern standards?” ie levels and not open world. I’ve always loved Armored Core games but couldn’t wrap my head around them pulling off a PS2/3 era playstyle (and for PS3 this was a niche title…
This is my first AC game and goddamn it rules. Just finished chapter 4 last night (somehow lol) and I can see myself doing multiple new game+ runs.
Absolutely loving this game! Read your review, Ethan. Got it friday, played it all weekend....
A little tip I started using for the game overall:
-You can sell anything for the cost of buying it (with exception to some starter stuff that you can’t sell). This is useful early on to get the build you want and purge the stuff you aren’t using at the moment with no punitive rebuys.
However!
- Try farming a few…
Can’t back this up enough. My parents and one set of friends since I upgraded, none who are big believers in AV fidelity, finally sat down to watch one of the movies I actually had on 4k disc and were pretty quickly blown away.
As someone pointed out on Twitter last month, the AMPTP underestimated the strikers because they assume that writers and actors will return to the table once they realize their “cushy lifestyles” are in jeopardy.
No worries! Once these strikers “start losing their apartments”, things will revert back the usual grift.
I lost the world’s smallest violin yesterday so I can’t play a pitiful dirge for the studios.
TIL that I make decisions on what movies to see in the theater based on who shows up on the red carpet at the premiere in some far away city.
Duh, that’s kind of the point of a strike. It’s not a problem until it’s their problem. The point is that the studios could end all this strife tomorrow just by agreeing to negotiate in good faith. As long as they refuse to do that, they deserve every bit of pain the actors and writers can bring to them.
If the employers don’t feel a strike it would be kinda pointless.
I think the problem with expecting people to get through Clone Wars is that a) it skews younger than the all-ages feel the franchise typically goes for and b) the level of quality is very spotty, especially early on. There’s a reason those “essential episodes” guides are so popular.
This is in line with my prediction that we won’t get Gen 10 until 2026 for the 30th anniversary.
Actually they used the most recent up date to the 5E rules where racial bonuses are no longer a thing. Instead during character generation you get to pick one stat that gets a +2 and another that gets a +1. Its done to move away from racial bonuses. Now different races mostly just change your appearance and give…
Maybe you can speak to my ongoing concern with the tone and characters, particularly in reference to DOS2. I’m super excited to play this, I’m a console guy so I haven’t tried the early access. And I haven’t wanted to be spoiled on anything so I’ve avoided Lets Play videos. I’m worried about the fact that so, so many…
