There was a reviewer that I read who had a background in programming and game development, and it was actually rather funny watching him try to parse how Nintendo’s programmers were able to make BotW possible on the Wii U and eventually reach the conclusion that their game engine was built using witchcraft and sorcery.

I’m pretty sure BotW is around the same size, ~16 gigs on the cart

If I have to choose between a soulless mega-corp and a fascist regime? Slight advantage to the mega-corp. No one cares about their tax status.

It’s more an “enemy of my enemy” sort of situation.  I can’t imagine siding with Disney in almost anything, but damn if DeSantis didn’t find a way.

Cue the Weird Al!

There is no long term plan except to stay elected.

I always thought it annoying, even as I understand why, that the Wii U version couldn’t use the tablet controller as a Sheikah Slate while playing the game through the TV (Nintendo wanted the same experience on the Switch and the Wii U...so in essence, the Switch was holding the Wii U back :))

Sony once again demonstrating that the Premium tier is only for the most gullible morons, like me who accidentally let it renew. The PS1/PS2 collection remains pathetic and way worse than PSNow was.

Just admit you don’t quite understand the world outside your bubble.

I live in North America, I have a good job, a car and yet I do prefer to commute with the metro, bus or by bike. I’m only using my car for outings in the weekend or doing “heavy” shopping. Your assumption that only people of low income use public transit is biased and wrong in so many ways...

This one hits hard. My brothers and I would pore over his images, soaking in every color and detail. We had signed originals and wore his t-shirts. We would go into shops on South Street in Philly right after a show had finished and ask for the poster hanging in the window before anyone else nabbed it.

Yes, he would. Not every country in the world is like our shit hole country, which had sold off the potential for an actually decent transport infrastructure to the automotive industry.

I’m a white-collar manager in marketing who lives in the SF Bay area and before COVID I took the train every day to work. It was faster and less stressful than commuting on the 101 during rush hour, I’m mostly remote now but whenever I go into the office I still take the train.

My north american morning bus commute was (before I switched to work from home) absolutely filled with upper income white collar folks like myself and the dude in this commercial. Not sure what you’re on about besides stereotyping. Bus commuting simply makes more sense.

Yeah you’re just brainwashed by the shittiness of america

Public transit is good and not a sign of class or status if you use it.

In California, this happens a LOT. Public Transit can be a fantastic way to get to work, since you get to read, relax, work or play on the train and don’t have to deal with terrible traffic.

But the guy looks fundamentally sad, so: DUI is a def possibility

(could also be a lot of places in Australia have perfectly fine and functional public transport, which is convenient to use and a lot cheaper than paying for parking)

Bro, you can stop fluffing the guy. He’s not gonna buy you a house.

It’s just another example of the way they misuse language to appeal to the red-meat base who are nearly totally devoid of critical-thinking or second-order-logic skills. The syntax carries the baseline assumption that the speaker is correct, always knows what the right answer is, and never has to explain it or justify
