I’m more surprised that GTA V isn’t on Switch yet, since it originally ran on PS3 / 360 and Rockstar loves trotting that game’s corpse out whenever it needs a bump in profits in between releases.

To be clear, I don’t own a PS5 yet and would love a good deal to get one before FF7 Rebirth, but this ain’t it. Over half the games on the list could be / have been played on my PS4, and two of the remaining games are remakes of PS3 games I played years ago, leaving Ratchet, Sackboy, and Returnal as the only genuinely

That’s the strange part about people’s reactions to this. Legos and other toy blocks are often durable enough to be generational toys (my son plays with blocks my wife owned as a kid). Meanwhile, they were trying to take a massive waste stream from single-use plastics and divert a tiny fraction of it to help offset

This seemed like a solid deal until I saw the list. It’s all older games that you shouldn’t still be paying full price for, plus like 1/3 of the list is remasters or rereleases. Still makes me wonder if they’re just clearing existing stock before a refreshed model releases before the holidays.

I know it’s a 20+ year old game that most people know the twist to, but still seems rude to younger readers to just spoil a major character death that’s probably still going to happen.

I’ve come to the same conclusion in the past couple of months, so I’ve been making steps to purge most subscriptions because we simply don’t have the time as working parents to get that much value out of most of them.

I know these financial reports typically focus on a single calendar year, but I’d be really curious to know how last year’s blunderbuss release strategy of every secondary title they had in development affected their financial situation as well, as it seemed like most of those titles lacked necessary marketing

Let’s make it PS5 exclusive too and cut out a console with +100m units, even though there’s nothing in the gameplay / world structure / graphics that seem like a massive generational leap from FF7 Remake, a game that looks and performs great on PS4. (Not like XVI even runs at a locked 60 fps with all that extra power

I haven’t played Starfield yet and aside from maybe a quick tryout thanks to Game Pass, probably won’t, so there’s your disclaimer. I think it’s very interesting purely from the stance of the creative process to think about such a major and long-running studio having such an insular design process, as opposed to

Nintendo finally wants to surpass PS2 lifetime sales and claim the crown - the moment they do that, they’ll announce the New Super Switch U Too SP.

Mr Mime to Ash: “He may have been your father, boy, but he wasn’t your daddy.”

Wonder if this is Ubisoft’s way of gauging continued interest in this old IP to see if anyone would even care if the sequel / prequel ever comes out, or if they can just cut their losses without much drama...

Something which has struck me as I’ve been playing it (I just finished Chapter 2, so not terribly far) is that beyond just the polished quality of the experience and the insanely great and varied combat, I love just having a AAA game with distinct levels and mission structures for the first time in what feels like

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but didn’t Man of Steel have Cavill playing a huge range of ages in the film (young adult through...less young adult?)? I thought it was him playing Clark when Pa Kent died stupidly to a tornado.

Seems odd that they don’t just split the tournament in two - one bracket for the true sickos who want to put in the hours to build their own team from scratch, and the other for those who would rather just use a Pokemon Showdown-like system to generate their team without all the fuss. A bit of extra glory for the

Hey now, at least Elden Ring has excellent art direction.

On the one hand, thank god this asshole doesn’t have an ounce of charisma and couldn’t win over a crowd to save his life. On the other, while I can’t wait for the day that Trump kicks the bucket and / or is thrown in jail, I’m concerned that everyone will then default to this asshole instead and he’ll fail upward into

I can’t imagine the type of person who’s walked into any Gamestop in the past decade and thought (likely while surrounded by the scattered remains of lootboxes and Hot Topic reject merchandise) “yes, this is the business whose success and 4D chess-like strategies will greatly change my fortunes!” Gamestop is a

*gestures at all the shittiness of modern society and capitalism*...I mean, apparently you can do exactly those things.
