*looks up a list of the 1,000 richest people on Earth* “All right, we’ve got our passenger list ready to go, let’s move up this timeline! 2050? 2025 is where it’s at! No time like the present!

Sure, but I can also understand their potential concerns of a) their two HD racing games cannibalizing each other’s sales somewhat; and b) not having enough of a creative spark to ‘justify’ making another F-Zero (they bring up this concept quite a bit when asked about their dormant franchises). F-Zero is a very

I would also bet that the development cost of a true heir to F-Zero GX would cost nearly as much if not more than the next Mario Kart while only selling a tiny fraction of the copies. So I can understand their hesitation.

Yeah, and I’m sure they’re hoping to not just bring Hemsworth on for a single season (otherwise, why not just try to wrap up early?), but instead want this to last longer. That might be why they’re so focused on retention - this seems like a really expensive show to make (they got a Hemsworth!) and Netflix is usually

That was my thought as well - don’t all subsequent seasons / sequels / etc have a natural drop in sales or viewership by the sheer fact that you usually need to watch the first installment, and not everyone is going to be interested in continuing with the following installments? And frankly, 30% drop for a show that

Musk in a press conference in 2025: “xAI has created something truly incredible - an AI companion who is completely subservient, never questions its master, includes a built-in artificial womb, never requires alimony or visitation or horses in payment for sexual favors, and just so happens to have the proportions of a

“Dad, what should I play if John Romero wants to make me his bitch? Also, who's John Romero?"

Yeah, obviously focusing on one system saves resources, that’s been the story for most of gaming’s history. Interesting / frustrating that it’s only recently become scrutinized, and largely only in the direction of Microsoft when Sony’s devs have been doing the same for decades. Didn’t Yoshi P recently say something

“I just miss having a party. And everything that comes with that. Party banter, managing equipment, planning out how a fight will go beyond ‘main guy swings sword.’ ...I miss the sense of feeling more powerful as I go along.”

I love VIIR’s combat and have really hoped that it extends beyond that trilogy into the rest of the series...but unfortunately, that very rarely happens (RIP to my homies the Gambit and Junction systems). It’s interesting to have the designers bend over backwards to say ‘WE’RE TELLING A GROUNDED AND MATURE STORY IN A

“Metroid Prime 4...has restarted development again, this time with Team Ninja. Please understand. Enjoy this slightly updated logo.”

Okay, then don’t play their games. Don’t support their work. Don’t even play the classics on your emulators. It’s absurd to try to mentally separate the art from the artist in most cases, especially in the case of a developer that has remained as thoroughly consistent in their views as Nintendo in regards to emulation

I’m pro-emulation and always frustrated when resources are taken offline for older consoles and games. For brazenly discussing emulation of a major Nintendo game weeks before it released? I’m amazed they lasted past the leak’s first day. Nobody can be surprised about this.

And? Based on the statistics I could find, by the end of 2016 (the year XV launched) there were about 54 million PS4s sold and somewhere over 20 million Xbox Ones (Microsoft is less open about console numbers). Combined, that’s almost double the current PS5 install base. For reference, XV released at roughly the three

Hoo boy, can’t wait to see this concoction of Trademark Bethesda Jank with this year's hot new flavor, AAA Devs Can’t Seem to Optimize for Shit Anymore.

I don’t think it’s the marketing timeline, there have been quite a few trailers for this game over the past year. I think it’s a combination of a few things:

Yeah, I was a lot more excited about Ever Crisis before Genesis & co showed up...I can only dream of a "skip the compilation stuff" toggle.

Man, that showed a lot more of the game than I expected prior to XVI’s release...I agree with others thinking that Sephiroth is probably referring to Aerith rather than Tifa. I’m slightly more interested in the ambulance scene in the beginning - maybe the final act of the game is the return to Midgar to destroy

I always liked Sonic Advance better than the Genesis ones because the sense of speed was so much better, both through actual movement and the character animations. Sonic is the slightly lankier Adventure version, so his longer proportions are able to better convey different levels of speed and effort.

I had this problem with every trailer for the show, but expanded - I loved Ahsoka, Clone Wars, and even Rebels, but I feel absolutely nothing for this show’s trailers. It all looks like an expensive fan-made cosplay trailer, everybody looks stiff and bored in front of a green screen. I’m sure there’s some metric that
