I rarely play long games on PC (I work on a computer all day, so it doesn’t feel nearly as relaxing as sitting on a couch), but I'm installing Elden Ring on PC now because I don't want to deal with last gen limitations. The last one was DQ XI, which had this same issue, and once you excited your save file, it showed

Man, PC Game Pass does some weird shit.

That was my thought with this announcement. The last book came out what, like a decade ago? I have literally no memory left of what happened in that book, so not only do you have the frustration of the wait, but also likely the need to reread thousands of pages to even understand what’s going on, especially since the

I think it’s easy to forget just how wild and bonkers of a swing Strikers and its sequel we’re, especially given the context of their releases. Even though most of the game industry went through a dark / angsty / edgy phase, very little of that translated into Nintendo’s games at the time. So seeing one of the Mario

I was eager to try the game but not willing to deal with the last gen versions (Digital Foundry did not have glowing things to say about my base PS4 or One S), but I was also nervous after hearing everything about the PC version. I decided to give PC a shot though, and have been pleasantly surprised at how good

I can’t believe (...well actually I can) that GameStop would hire Reggie and then just ignore him. The dude’s a legend, and if nothing else being a public face for the company could have created some much needed good will.

Goddammit. I don’t want a hopeful and uplifting story out of this. I want Obi-Wan to have the time and distance to not only reckon with his guilt, but also how the Jedi lost their way when they became generals and tools of a madman. How he’s effectively one of the last survivors of a millenia-long spiritual order he

This is shaping up to be some PS2-era nonsense and I am HERE for it.

I hope that's true. Still baffling that the last time those classics were ported to a current system was...the DS and PS3?

Hopefully true. Also wild that fixing d-pad controls on a 25 year old SNES game was necessary...

This also would’ve been an ideal time to port this classic to Switch and make the easiest profit in the world, but then again, those FF Pixel Remasters are in the same boat. COME ON GUYS.

This makes me extra bummed that FFXIV is currently being touted as PS exclusive, as it’s the only next gen game I’m really looking forward to at the moment. I enjoy using my One S so much more than my PS4, so whenever I do upgrade I’d really prefer to go with Xbox for Game Pass and features like these (plus I hate how

Judging by XVI's image at the top of the article, I’m betting one of the trailers uses a soft indie cover of Crawling by Linkin Park.

Between this and Stranger of Paradise, Square seems to be going through a strange period where they’re nostalgic for early 00s emo-dark design. It's...certainly a choice.

Yeah, AMC is a shitty company, but also...the movie's almost three goddamn hours long. It probably does make sense to charge more for a movie that's nearly as long as two.

At first I was bummed but how many in the trailers were just in Arceus, but then I realized that game is effectively landlocked from Home and in that way kinda doesn't count...

Same here. I tried turning off the bloom effect which helped a little, but not nearly enough. It feels like the sprites should be more detailed, like FF Tactics or Breath of Fire IV level, not RPG Maker level.

When I first saw the headline saying Scarlet and Violet were announced, I thought it could possibly be an Arceus-style Red and Blue remake, which would’ve been cool (but also like the third remake of the first gen?).

I mean, seems simple to also hope to get a teaser for the next mainline games...Sword and Shield released what, 2.5 or 3 years ago? Seems like it's about time, especially with Arceus and BDSP released.

A major JRPG announced only six months prior to release? Not teased endlessly for years? Refreshing.
