Cautiously excited / surprised that this wasn’t “COMING TO MOBILE” like all the other RPG revival monkey paws have been...now let’s see if it ever comes out.
I know that people rag on Xbox for being the shootin’ and racin’ platform due to their exclusives, but it’s been great to watch Microsoft really branch and support exciting initiatives like this demo event, Game Pass, and backwards compatibility. It’s certainly made the choice between PS5 and XSX much more difficult…
I’m burrowing deeper into my nostalgia blanket, so I’m continuing my journey back through the late 90s / early 00s.
-I’m a few hours into playing Parasite Eve for the first time, which is a really interesting game but also feels mechanically duct taped together, so I’m relieved it’s fairly short. Also surprisingly not…
That’s exciting. I just splurged and got a Gameboy Player for my Gamecube, so I’m looking forward to playing FF Tactics Advance and Metroid Fusion this weekend. Enjoy!
I see what you’re saying and mostly agree, but I’m not really talking about polish - this game does admittedly look visually polished and fairly high quality. It’s more about style. It’s surprising to see a running animation that looks so unnatural at this stage in development, unless it was a) an intentional choice…
Isn’t part of their strategy that the big releases on Series X also be on Xbox One for the next two years? I know I’m not planning on upgrading any time soon if that’s the case.
Sure seems much more in line with Nights than Sonic. Looks interesting, but I’m concerned that the character animation and gameplay looks a little...rough? Like the running animation in particular, as well as attacks. It looks like a Sega Saturn game framework remade in modern assets.
I really hope I can transfer my standard version PC save into an S upgrade, but my hopes aren’t high...
Same concern here. I genuinely don’t understand the Democratic policy of “let’s keep reaching across the aisle and compromising our vision at every turn, surely the opposing party will act civil and just this time.” And then they’re shocked when they get steamrolled and fucked over every time. It’s embarrassing.
My pipe dream: Nintendo, realizing that game development during a pandemic was going to be much slower and more difficult, began work on reviving the Virtual Console in some way in order to keep the great games flowing onto Switch with minimal development and effort, starting with GBA and Gamecube and eventually…
Just what I needed in 2020! More feelings!
I have no idea what my top three would be off the top of my head, but I will say that Super Mario Galaxy is the bee’s knees and arguably the best of the 3d Marios (close race with Odyssey).
From the outside Nocturne always seemed like the more interesting game but I was hesitant because of how difficult it apparently is. So I’m curious to give DDS a shot.
A gorgeous game that looks like a spiritual successor to Muramasa: The Demon Blade, one of the best action games ever made? Sign me the fuck up.
I’ve been getting back into the PS2 generation and have had Nocturne in my eBay cart for weeks. I almost pulled the trigger yesterday, but this throws an interesting wrinkle into the equation. *buys Digital Devil Saga instead*
YO DAWG I HEARD YOU LIKE BANGS SO I PUT BANGS ON YOUR BANGS.
I was really hoping that Nocturne was going to be “sorry V is taking so long, so this one’s available today to keep you occupied”. I know HD remasters aren’t as simple as drag and drop onto Switch, but...come on, over six more months?
Definitely the same. I really like the moment-to-moment writing and experience, but I feel exactly zero pull towards any larger goal or purpose to keep me coming back.
Same boat here. I love the idea and presentation of Control, but playing it just feels like work most of the time. Crazy considering it's only like ten hours long.
