A part of the experience, the train only be operated by emotionally fragile 14 year olds who often skip work, making everyone extremely late. Also, this train sometimes eats other trains to gain their power.

I mean, could be a great joke character that pesters the other fighters to death.

I dunno, I’m imagining MC as a bulkier, slower Snake - still has grenades, explosives, rockets, etc, maybe with a little of Bayonetta and Joker’s light gun attacks. Dante I’m imagining more like his player in Marvel vs Capcom 3, where he switched styles and weapons constantly and was very dynamic as a result.

Please not another swordboi, k thanx

From a gameplay perspective, Dante probably makes more sense than Master Chief, as he has a ton more possibilities (and personality).

But they didn’t just “take animations and sprites from 3ds”. Almost all of the battle animations in the game are new and look incredible. Some of the new moves are particularly gorgeous - Cinderace’s special move (Pyro Ball?), the legendaries’ key moves, etc. Sure, Double Kick looks like shit, but it always has

I guess, but how many of those ‘definitive’ purchases were repeat purchases? Based on the fact that the original entries in each gen sell like gangbusters, I’d assume most. Most players weren’t waiting the two years for the third game (that was the gap for all generations except Sun/Moon), so you have most consumers

Even as someone who’s loved this series since Gen 1, I’ll never understand the Dexit crowd, a whole group of people who apparently have no idea how game development actually works and feel an incredible sense of entitlement. S/S weren’t perfect, but I think they made great steps in the right direction in a lot of ways

*inserts beating dead horse gif*

That’s totally fair, I’m glad you enjoyed so many of those games. I tried most of those and just didn’t find them that special, even the ones that most people loved. I never finished Uncharted 4 because it dragged on too long, I didn’t like Bloodborne’s art design and had a harder time getting into it than the other

Now playing

I’m genuinely surprised the Final Fantasy XV Omen trailer didn’t make this list, as I think it’s an absolute all-time great. Sure, it’s also absolute bullshit in the same way the Dead Island trailer is. But the story concept outlined here, wild and completely mindfucky as the actual game only wishes it could actually

The holiday season when the PS2 came out and all my friends got one, our parents got us a used PS1 and a cheap DVD player. My Dad, seeing our disappointment, gave a shit eating grin and said “it’s the same thing, right???” (To be fair, I loved that PS1 and its super cheap JRPGs as a preteen with very little income)

To be fair, so does he.

Good writing? Like this?

Oh...well in that case I would just assume that local co-op is a given and they’re focused on trying to build excitement for the shiny new online multiplayer.

Wait, they might release this without local co-op, literally the feature the original game was built around???

I think 4 would be great if only to update the art style and environmental design beyond the very brown / grey palette of it's time. Those environments could really shine with a modern palette and lighting.

So...we’re totally getting an RE4 remake in the next couple of years, right? No way Capcom leaves that free money alone. Hopefully after Code Veronica.
