The great thing about Last Week Tonight is that it doesn’t always stick with the predictable topics. Anyone can talk about Trump stuff but there’s only so much material to work with. The recent feature about Sinclar acquiring Tribune was especially eye-opening. If the whole thing about laws regarding what Muslim women

Not if Olivia de Haviland has anything to say about it.

Awesome to see Wander get recognized. It actually reminds me of a few years back when Jimmy Two-Shoes won the Canadian Screen Award (their version of the emmy) for best animated series a year after it was canned.

I like this shit.

I watched the first season of Stranger Things...it felt like an obligation in the last few episodes to finish it. I don’t have a desire to catch the second season. Is there something about the show that I am not getting?

I appreciate the effort, AV Club, but I think it’s time to retire this feature. I am pretty positive that a large number of people that kept the feature alive who left will not be coming back. That and it is much easier for asshole trolls to get encouragement and exposure at a place like this.

Considering how creative and unusual Spike Jonze’s work is, it would have been pretty neat to see what would have happened if Jonze made that Ace Ventura movie. Or would it just be another of this “First time jitters” affairs?

Yes and no. The band wasn’t necessarily Christian per se but the singer went on to a Christian music career for a bit. (i was never a fan but i would have preferred that over rap metal at the time)

But you know his fanbase will buy into it bigly.

“I grew up in a desegregated neighborhood” = “I am trying my hardest to conceal my real feelings but it’s not working”

The problem with so many neo-grindhouse productions is that they tend to forget about what made so many classic grindhouse films so appealing. It was always about creating things that were unique and thrilling while knowing that the audience isn’t dumb and can tell when something is forced. That’s what made Death

Ege Bamyasi is in my opinion the second-best German rock album of the 1970s (Eloy’s Ocean being on top). The freakish hypnotic work on that album is still stunning. Between Jaki’s carefully timed drumming, Damo Suzki’s interesting range and Holger Czukay’s bass chugging through, One More Night may be the group’s best

Didn’t Ann Coulter say something about how the guy who rammed his car into the protesters at Charlottesville was threatened by those people and had to run out really fast and did not have much time to react?

I was not aware that Camp Camp had returned, although that was primarily because I don’t really follow Rooster Teeth much. I will have to take a look at it soon, thanks.

I would have loved to see Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury. It’s too bad that the people behind the movie weren’t willing to listen to his ideas. It would have been interesting to see a movie about the guy that looked into his personal life and how it inspired so much of Queen’s music; it could give people a new

I love how even after all these years the Foo Fighters still have so much enthusiasm and love for rock and roll. Sonic Highways was their best in a while so I’ll be looking forward to this new one.

But for Burnett, everything is designed with the Lord in mind. Even Survivor apparently.

There’s only one winner in this thing and that’s Matt Lauer. He has essentially been assured that his job at Today is safe. Granted, Megyn is getting her own hour but at the same time she could have taken the #1 anchor spot on Today.

Does anyone know if there’s a site that lists specific theaters that the movie is playing in? I MIGHT head over to one if I have a chance. It doesn’t look like it could top the first but it’s nice that it is getting some kind of American theatrical release. Plus the role fits Seann William Scott perfectly.

Here, let me wash that off of you with some water.
