Yeah I read it more as influencing bystander behaviour/the overall culture not actually “this will stop rapists”. It’s still stupid though and sort of implies that women are a hive mind.

I always got a sort of squicky vibe off him too. I don’t judge his porn performances (like other people are saying, some women have rape fantasies and catering to those is fine) but a lot of his comments have come off as strange to me.
I’ve always wanted to know his plan if the husband came to the door.
Oh if they do another series have her as a new hero or the DA who knows what’s up! Either one of those would be amazing.
It’s the idea that otherwise OK people would be Killgrave if they had the power in the right situation. That is fucking terrifying.
Yes and no. She is AWFUL with all the capitals that exist. But we see her downfall and how it hurts Pam. If it were a guy then it would be not a big deal in most of the world but feminist sites would be very unimpressed. But also the fact that the audience of the show is woman-leaning makes it tough. Basically Jezebel…
Even though it’s negative; the disintegration of Jerry/Wendy and the relationship between Jerry and Pam is one of the most nuanced lesbian relationships I’ve ever seen on mainstream TV. Like you want to and should want to slap Jerry to death but you sort of get it, but you feel so sorry for Wendy and Pam. Then what…
Gah wow. I understand, but the fact that there’s a horribly complicated reason behind it doesn’t warm me to the idea - rather the opposite. I guess it’s too hard to change but that doesn’t stop me silently resenting it. Smugly resenting it.
Oh wow. I’ve never interacted with American currency enough to rip it, it’s just been a fairly regular gripe with American’s I’ve met. It could just be an easy thing to complain about.
Exaggeration is the perfect term, this is a small department in a non-American school (Jezebel tends to report on American stories unless they’re big). This is... not the best decision from the school but, it’s also sort of Wintermass 2.0. All schools cancel things all the time and often for stupid reasons, this one…
Just don’t have paper money. Almost everywhere else has a sort of paper/plastic blend. Things don’t get destroyed, it’s cheaper than coins and they don’t weigh much. Everyone wins.
I know that family are soul-sucking vampires, but she is and 18-year-old involved with a 26-year-old. Like, I doubt she’s making too many decisions. I feel like Kris and Tyga had that discussion, not her.
My parents are the same. I was trying to book a place and logistics were weird (my friends and I were all in a foreign country and not good with our banks) so I asked to borrow 1000Euro from them on their credit card. They said sure but I then found a way to finance it without doing that. I told them and they just...…
This. Yes.
I’m on your lawn and you can’t stop me!
A Cold War Kids song that I danced to at my formal was referred to as “retro” today on the radio. “Classic” I’m Ok with but I’m not ready for contemporary songs when I was 17 to be “retro”.
It’s easy to snark, but I would join that family in a second. I don’t even know why I would, but I feel them adopting me would be a good idea for all involved.
If Trump gets shot then the type of people who care about Trump get angry. That won’t end well. It’s in everyone’s best interests that he dies an old, bitter, lonely man- preferably found guilty of some kind of massive fraud. Hopefully they have very good security who understand that.
I feel really weird knowing I’m older than this film. It and Pulp Fiction were THE “grown-up films” when I was a child and I always assumed they came out in the 80s.
I couldn’t stop laughing at it when I saw the film. It’s just such classic 90s effects.
