I cannot find red lentils anywhere.  All I wanted to do was make a fucking lentil loaf and not have to wait half an hour for the stupid lentils to cook.  No reds to be found in all of Seattle.  Green lentils, yellow lentils, French lentils, black beluga lentils?  All a’plenty.  Tha fuck.

No trump has ever made a deal in good faith. It’s a wonder people still do business with them at all. This is a family that is long overdue for a sudden, catastrophic, and permanent fall.

This will be my Sunday, every Sunday, after retirement, coronavirus or not.

Bottom line, grifting an oligarch’s foreign oil company with zero intention of actual trying to use that influence with dad (as there is no evidence that Joe Biden did anything nefarious) is, in my books, one of the more moral ways that the children of the rich can make their money, and it’s certainly less destructive

I thought this was asking what sort of shame I was hoarding, and my immediate response was “far too much to possibly list, thanks”.

One of my co-workers was at Costco yesterday and in front of him in line was a guy in his 80's with a cart filled to the brim with just ice cream and wine. He’s doing it right.

I cannot wait for the Bret Stephens and Jennifer Rubin columns in, like, October, where they explain that after much soul searching and hand wringing they feel they just cannot bring themselves to vote for Joe Biden because of the questions relating to Hunter Biden’s activities in Ukraine, because they fear Biden

No equal pay for USWNT. I demand SUPERIOR pay for the USWNT. Superior results=superior $$$. Can we get a meritocracy going here. The men’s team is garbage and no one in this country gives a damn about them or can name a player on the team.

Personally I don’t think there should be equal pay, the women should make what the men currently make and the men should make what the women currently make. That way the women can be paid like the the talent they are and the men can be paid like the 5th division of Romanian soccer team they are.

Eh, I’d say the ones needing therapy are those of us who grew up with ultra-conservative crazy religious mothers who wouldn’t let us so much as wear a sleeveless shirt until we were 18, and to this day mutter a lot of “how dare she wear that inappropriate outfit!” at literally any woman. I wish I had you as a mom

Women’s studies mom here. I used to worry my kids would need therapy.

Baby Jesus is very intimidated by boobs.

“I love hot dogs because they don’t kill cows for hot dogs, so you can eat hot dogs without guilt if you need meat but you still have vegan tendencies,” she said.

This would’ve been my outfit I would’ve worn if I had been one of the “boys” at this school. I would be all for making sure that the prom was as “wholesome” as possible.

This is why, when my 9 yo daughter asks me if a skirt is "ok" for school, I remind her that school dress codes are sexist, patriarchal bullshit, and that all her clothing is ok for school because I bought it and it goes on her body therefore ok.  I imagine these are things she'll discuss with her therapist someday -

Such a difference in eras. I wore my father’s button down shirts and izods to school with stilettos and a belt. There is no mention of pants in the above sentence because yeah, didnt wear any. Just nylons and a shirt with fm pumps, in h.s, oh and big,big hair and alll the makeup. Not an eyeball was batted. As I recall

First, I will need you to fuck right off with your “I will need you to send me a picture” and “once I approve... you may purchase it.” horseshit.  You are a principle who should be aware that the only thing students “need” from you is an education. Second, many families cannot afford to “purchase” a prom dress let

I had to do this at my private evangelical-Christian school. A lot of us had to have our dresses altered with fabric inserts to cover up cleavage or low backs. And we couldn’t submit photos, we had to bring our dresses to school, try them on in the women’s bathroom, then the principal or the highest-ranking woman

Apparently, it’s harder to have cleavage in high school than to shoot it up.

Imagine being so afraid of girls’ bodies you have to set up a tactical force of teachers to parse the pictures of dress wearing students, uploading and categorizing them to some database, and then having some sort of station set up at the prom entrance to make sure the girl in question is wearing the agreed upon
