I thought it was just I, increasingly, having no idea who these “celebrities” Joan covers are. It’s a relief to know that Joan doesn’t either.

I stopped wearing make up except for special occasions (like, maybe twice a year) and while I thought I looked bad the first couple weeks, eventually I adjusted my perception and now no makeup looks normal.

I work for Talkspace - and decided to quit a few months ago. They do collect data. They also run an algorithm in the back of the app to try to diagnose clients (Which is inaccurate btw). And they are doing something with data (marketinb based) based on the assessment they’re running. And lastly - they shaft…

People’s reaction to my sobriety (507days!) have ranged from being nosey to being downright pissed off about it. Like I cant stop drinking if I’m not an alcoholic or haven’t hit rock bottom. But remember, people’s reaction to your sobriety is 100% about their relationship with alcohol, not yours.

The more I read about Michael Bloomberg, the more I question who was the ding-dong in the Democratic Party who wished for “a Democratic candidate who can beat Donald Trump” on the damn monkey’s paw?

I reeeeeeeally wish that AOC had been like “Oh Meghan let’s not get ahead of ourselves hon, there are people in my party that actually *like* me.”

Please don’t feel bad! It’s not unlike the destigmatization of miscarriages (I and my friends are in our 30s, I’m seeing this a lot lately) - the more people who realize they know someone affected by this serious issue, the more likely it is that they’ll take it seriously and start building empathy for others…

Also, the AOC Rage on the right regularly reaches supernova levels. I rarely see anyone on the left do more than laugh at McCain. 

Well, did you know that she’s the daughter of the late John McCain??? Did you?!  Just watch the show, she’ll tell you (100x’s).

If AOC is the boogeywoman of the right, it’s because she’s out there actually trying to fight for something better for the whole of society.
