It’s probably my childless status, or some twisted part of my personality, but whenever someone announces their pregnancy my first thought is, “Oh, no...” even if the parents are outwardly happy and excited and clearly have their life together.

The Pro Life student organization at my campus does this every year. They are part of a statewide org, which is part of a national org... there are paid employees of these orgs that travel around to campuses to help student groups do the stupid graveyard stunts.

I don’t know if it is there anymore or not, but when I was younger my buddy in Florida was contracted to do IT work at a Catholic high school that featured a “National Cemetery of the Unborn”, complete with a garden of little crosses made of what appeared to be paint stir sticks.

Hoarding infectious waste is definitely weird, especially keeping it in your car, but it seems much less harmless than allowing a 10 year old to give birth.

How can the Thunderdome be built if all the bridges, etc. haven’t collapsed and 80% of the world’s population hasn’t died in war or from preventative diseases? Please think ahead for ONCE.

It’s not so much that they’re losing interest in providing those things. It’s that they’re gaining interest in actively denying those things to all but the wealthy.

Yup.  It’s puzzling.  You’ve got “I’d like to be the manager, and here are my plans” vs. “I’d like to speak to the manager”  and they pick the latter? 

This entire ecosystem, which appears to be getting bigger every day, was bankrolled and built by people who have concluded the only way to reform the system is to build another one where the simplest form of healthcare is a saleable and aspirational experience, not a service. And definitely not a right.

That’s bizarre to me, do they not have student loan debt?  

This blows my mind. Who are the voters out there saying “I want to vote for a woman, but not one who wants to achieve anything”?
