i mean

well, the plot is fungible to a certain extent, in a remake, and in my experience even a ridiculous seeming concept can be redeemed by an appropriate treatment, but then that’s merely anecdotal, so.

if you remake a good movie, the remake is likely to be worse. if you remake a bad movie, you have a chance to do better! mean regression is your friend.

very plausible. freezing is a common and under-documented prey response.

and the lede image is great. it was snapped at the exact moment he remembered humans don’t have a proboscis and tried to pass it off like he was just licking the porkchop.

that little girl in the pic from wisconsin is great. she’s all, ‘i see you, america. i see what you’re tryna do to my future. well, we’ll see who has the last laugh when social security’s abolished and you all have to go work at a walmart at 85.’

‘try the other one; i think i saw some blood in there last week’

i need somewhere to share my distress. after reading that post with clips from the show this morning, i decided that no matter how much i hate crowds and people, i had to try to see this show. so i got on ticketmaster to check prices, and it turns out she’s not even coming to denver. 😭 whyyyyy, yoncé? we love you in

BRUH

omigod. this brumbaugh prick literally has things ass-backwards. how even. i mean, i know our schools are bad, but that bad?

i was all set to be all :| about this post but a) the actual zoology was interesting, and b) it’s very difficult to get pressed about anything with international lover blasting in your ears

so mad at facebook rn that i can’t post this as a gif.

i’m not at all surprised at a cop getting off scot-free in killing a black man, but the absolute brazenness of going to court, getting a jury, having that jury return a guilty verdict on the charge of manslaughter, and the prosecutor and judge just saying, ‘nah,’ feels like a new low. prosecutors are always free to

how was this even a possible result? he was convicted of killing a person. it was not in self-defense, or in the line of duty. how is it legal for the court itself to negate the guilty verdict returned by the jury after it was reached?

“training” is not going to do one single solitary goddamned thing to curb police brutality or end police killings. it’s not as if they’re not well and fully aware they are killing innocent, unarmed people over perceived disrespect. it’s that cops don’t care, and why would they? we’ve shown the police time and again

‘alumna’, surely...
