Okay so...how garish was this memorial? I mean. You know.

Such transgressive. So pervert.

that's what I'm getting to. I'm reading an article about a person who did something fraudulent. The fact that she's trans appears to have very little to do with it, but apparently certain people just shouldn't be censured ever.

I think she didn't have the necessary papers to prove her qualifications, and the scientific jargon she used to talk up the club's superior quality was as fake as a diet pill ad, but she clearly put time, thought and research into building a club the author admits is good. The reporter chose to focus on the "sexiness"

Yeah it was.

It would be hard to explain the investigation into her background without explaining that he investigated under both her current and former identity. The fact that she is trans is **the** story, but it seems to be integral **part** of the story. It is tough.

I agree. The crux of the issue was that the putter was not created by this person (no matter how they identified) with the background and credentials that were claimed. I suppose the fraud aspect would be enough to push many people over the edge.

It was. She was a car mechanic in Arizona, not a researcher from MIT.

Yeah, but...this whole thing is over a golf putter. He's not exactly uncovering a global espionage scoop. It seems like, once you find out someone's credentials have been falsified, you'd want to move on to the next subject. I don't understand why he continued to pursue the investigation.

Lol I thought that was it. Great movie!

I keep clicking the link, scrolling to read the comments and listening to the sounds, then closing the tab before it's finished, because I am a total chickenshit who cannot leave well enough alone.

You know, they should have started off with this article, as a warm-up.

DEAD LINK DO NOT CLICK.

The anniversary of my dad's death is coming up, and you asked for stories of "slight hauntings," so I think I'll share this story again:

Ever had one of those arguments with somebody, where even though you think you've agreed to differ, the other party spends weeks, months and sometimes even years bringing the subject back up, passively aggressively trying to explain their position further, making veiled reference to the argument in every conversation

I do like this writer. She's nicely informative.

Somewhat informative, but....

It's the rare triple down!

Reading these posts where you all just keep digging in your heels over this $10,000 clusterfuck isn't even fun. It's like I have sympathy embarrassment for you guys.
