I loved my mutt. She was a beagle-lab cross and the best (and cutest) dog ever. If I ever get a dog again it'll be adopted from the shelter. She wasn't a shelter dog, but she was part of an unwanted litter at someone's farm that we got for free.

Yes! I remember that was when "they" were pushing the Michael Pitt thing on us quite hard (didn't really work - something about him is too odd for mainstream) but I thought about Ryan "THAT guy is going to be big".

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiis!

Here he is on a date with the nudey Irene Adler (yes it is her, just a bad picture) - but hold no fear - she forgot to scrub off her fake tan and now looks ridiculous. He will never make love to her in that condition. Think of the sheets! Silly Lara.

The fact that he wears Dad Jeans makes him even cooler.

Telling people you are 'disgusted' by their actions is not a very good way of winning them to your cause. Try and understand where they're coming from, and then you might have a better chance of helping them see your side.

My family gets shelter dogs because they're cheaper, but yeah, mutts are totally underrated. The one I got now, Sasha, is at least 12 years old and she's still in perfect condition. She still acts like a puppy and on a cold day, would go for a 4-hour walk if she could. I recently asked the vet if he could identify her

Oh mah gawd. That looks so much like my kitty Finn, except if it was Finn instead of typing he'd be gnawing on my arm (unfortunate and apparently unbreakable biting fetish).

Thank you for promoting adoption instead of buying! So many dogs needlessly die in shelters every year because people mistakenly assume that those bred by breeders or puppy mills are superior. I am also very partial to mixed breeds myself for a number of reasons - the best dog my family ever had was a mutt - though it

I agree. I also think it's hilarious that there is aPubLIZity banner ad currently atop this article.

Or if a specific breed calls to you, you can do purebred rescue. I'm on my third rescue basenji - a lot of the more difficult, intelligent breeds end up in rescue as puppies or elderly dogs. Two of my B's were bought for thousands of dollars and then abandoned as puppies, and the other was a puppy mill guy.

Yes. Absolutely, there are amazing shelter dogs out there. In fact, after getting our dog Benson from a shelter, I wouldn't tell anyone different. But many people don't understand the commitment it takes for a dog. Especially a breed like Shiba Inu. I once obsessed over this breed and wanted it so bad. Then I did the

Genius! Again.

Wow, you've had two winning posts in a night! The cat overload one . . . wish I could preserve it somehow. It is genius. And oh yeah, I agree with this one too.

The ultimate Ryan Gosling role is Half Nelson. I was in awe of him and his acting after seeing that. Holy shit he was good.

Much like his gifs, there's a Hiddleston look/persona for every occasion.

You mean Chris, right? He was played by Joe Dempsie, who is now Gendry on Game of Thrones.

I can't stop laughing! Ahhhh!

The upside is they come off.

I love Ryan Gosling in Murder by Numbers! I think it was one of the first films I saw him in after Breaker High (I blame my younger sisters' love of afternoon syndicated teen TV, but I still enjoyed it!) You're right - after that film, I didn't think of him as the nerdy teen from the show!
