my research was feedback based on claims. it had nothing to do with taste or some type of clinical test. so it came from what they reported. there were no clinicals involved… clinicals cost an astronomical amount of money and were not necessary for this particular type of qualitative research. clinical are generally…
Are these shell casings?
I’m still miffed that the word “organic” had to get its own legal definition and arbitrary standards in the first place.
sometimes people eat things that don’t exactly agree with them and that’s not completely based in quantifiable science. its based on their own physiology, diet, exercise habits, etc.
no. lots of people have some level of gluten intolerance. which is why i specifically said the word intolerance. much higher than 2%. you don’t need to have celiac’s disease or an allergy to get some level indigestion or other kind of discomfort caused by consuming gluten.
organic is defintely better for the environment. that’s pretty much entire the point of it.
Most people buy organic because they say it tastes better.
I also see that you’re attempting to argue the whole “blind taste test” with another poster.
Thanks for proving my point. Organic is just a gimmick. Especially when people can’t actually tell the difference.
No. There’s an approval process. Not just everyone gets to throw “organic” on their label.
I see. Understood.
Oh, I see. That’s somewhat of a push. Though there is a large part of the population that does exactly what you’re talking about, people with either Celiac’s or some level of gluten intolerance represent a decent percentage of the overall population. And then there’s also a level of consumer confusion. I did some…
I think it’s more that the insurance companies will only cover generics, and if generics don’t exist, the store brand over name brands because it’s usually cheaper.
Thanks, I made them myself. By hand in my kosher, organic, free-range, fair trade kitchen.
No. That’s generally quantifiable. Just like “Sugar Free” and nut facts and calories and stuff like that.
Organic has a specific legal definition and is both verifiable and verified… In the dictionary. In the real world, you’d probably be shocked what receives that label. The realities of manufacturing are very different than you might think.
Gotta be careful with that label too. Its a bit of an arbitrary approval process. And stuff that really SHOULDN’T be labelled organic gets that designation because some small part of their plant’s growth cycle falls under the “organic” parameters.
Gotcha. Totally agree. Unless one company has their active locked up and the generics can’t 100% knock it off. Or its a generic that’s being manufactured or packaged in the Caribbean or Mexico.
Your wording is a little confusing… Are you saying people in the OTC industry avoid branded products?
