Are you actually incapable of seeing how one can be “pro-car”, and also anti-bullshit car infrastructure and dependence on the automobile? Really? For one thing, I am acutely aware that if many of the appliance-users had other options, there would be hell of a lot more room on the road for drivers.

My thoughts exactly. Thankfully I have a pharmacy and supermarket within a 5 minute walk from my house and a library about 15 minutes walk. But outside of those 3 places everything else has to be driven to.
