The Focus might actually have a chance at selling a few more that gas is 5 bucks a gallon. Americans are too fat for the Fiesta.

Having worked for a Mazda dealership for 7+ years, I can assure you that the brand is doing better than ever, at least in our market. We are 100% attracting buyers that would consider an Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, or even the odd Audi/BMW/Mercedes buyer. The materials quality, the refinement, the tech, the safety, the

The only thing worse than designed by committee is designed by social media.

Ford please bring the Focus Fiesta ST back to the states.

Ford please bring the Focus ST back to the states.

I mean, Ford wanted a Wrangler competitor. Significant recalls really give you that FCA experience.

I’d rather it go to the manufacturer who designed and built a desirable vehicle, than to a middle man who brings no value to the table.

This is a simple fix. Have one or two examples of a vehicle for test drives and viewing. And have a place where boomers can sit down with someone and order the vehicle the want.

This plan would significantly streamline the overall process, so while they can’t exploit a lot of sales they might otherwise milk for a little extra margin, their sales and overhead costs go way down.

IMO manual cars are great for city driving.

Yes. I own a Focus RS, and have owned a Fiesta ST and driven a Focus ST, and I live in Los Angeles. All three are fine for city driving amd heavy traffic how they are, but just changing to half-inch wider wheels and buying the correct tires (no stretch) takes the edge off the bumps.

The Wrangler comment was kind of surprising, because a while back I decided that a city center is actually the BEST use case of a Wrangler. The two-door is shorter than a Focus ST and has a better turning radius. It’s got thick sidewalls and that “Trail-Rated” suspension to soak up any curb, pothole, or bicyclist in

Anecdotal evidence:

Does this meet your Civic or Camry reliability metric?

If you just compare the cost it takes to drive, let’s say, 50 miles:

They are highly functional because the screen is closer to eye level. You just look over instead of down and over.

Go ahead and reply about how irrational you feel that is,”

Performance is one aspect, sure, but costs have dramatically reduced over time, and I don’t think you’re considering that. Prices per kWh have fallen almost 90% over the past 11 years. Fairly soon, electric vehicles will be cheaper to buy, cheaper to drive, have better performance, and retain their value more than ICE

I’m guessing if you did a survey in 1905 of why people weren’t trading in their horses for the new horseless carriages, you would have gotten similar responses.
