the old 2009-2013 Mazda6 had a HUGE backseat. I could fit my 6'8" roommate and have space for a normal adult in the back.

Interesting. I just saw them as silver finished diffusers, but I can see the almost exhaust too.

As an Arizonan with family across the nation (now living in SE Michigan), it’s actually really annoying trying to plan calls or trip pick ups with the times always switching around. During the winter, I’m currently 2 hours ahead of my family and now I’m 3 hours ahead, so facetime planning is always a bit tricky trying

I’m right there with you. I know a lot of friends who are in love with this flat grey trend and all I see is primer. I can’t wait for the trend to be over.

I convinced my brother to get one, helped a friend learn to drive stick to get one, and had money ready for the new FoST until Ford pulled the plug right before it launched... Now I’m a proud Mazda3 owner...

Now playing

The guys at Throttle House liked it a lot.

Well we already knew how safe their Concept 1 car was *cough* Richard Hammond *Cough* and that one wasn’t even certified for the US.

Fun fact for the future. For Autotrader listings, you only need to include up to the listing ID part of the URL. Like this: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=628277598

Sorry this happened to you.

Before Covid, I used Turo all the time. My worst experiences were from single sellers and my best ones were the fleet dealers. I made sure to go through the histories (on multiple listings of the seller) and if there was even a slight “meh” I avoided them.

I know just the man ;)

Probably because it’s run by the same people who took discovery channel, a place of learning about the world and how it works, to terrible “reality” shows that just show the worst people.

I watched their first season and it was really rough but I watched their Rubicon trail episode, which was one of their lasts, and it was actually really good. They just needed a lot of time to figure out their niche. Sadly, they didn’t get that time before it got pigeon holed to late night History Channel and then

My first car was a 1995 Prelude and it was dead reliable for the time I had it. Loved that thing! Sold it at 150k miles and it was still mint.

It was from an EPA report. Basically, CUVs are 10-15% less fuel efficient than their car/sedan/hatch platform counterparts. Not bad enough for a typical buyer to care for the perceived benefits of space, ride height, etc... but enough to give a downward trend on avg fuel economy for the US.

Fun fact, the engineers at Ford WANTED TO remove that huge console shifter. In fact, in the Super Duty trucks, it is a column shifter. However, marketing found that F150 buyers vastly preferred having that massive console shifter, so engineering got told no.

Haha I think it’s a more common phenomenon with commenters on Jalopnik. My buddy is not named Doug, though since he owns a Fiesta ST, he’s probably a cool dude  ;)

My buddy wanted a Fiesta ST but didn’t yet know how to drive stick. So I test drove the car for him, he bought it, and I drove it back home for him. We had practiced stick on my car before hand, so we just jumped straight into more practice.

Now to get all the antiquated dealer laws repealed...

I know a lot get a bad rep, but I’ve enjoyed basically every Need For Speed I’ve ever played. I don’t game much anymore, so the last one I played was the 2015 reboot, but for the two weeks I had that from Gamefly were a blast.
