Definitely not SUV-y enough for my wife ;)

Right now the order is #1 Kia Telluride, #2 Explorer (with my employee discount), and #3 Have to check out and sit in the rest of the competition. We can get GM employee discounts since her dad worked there for 30 years and technically “retired” from them. Money is a big pinch point, so the best deal may end up

This dealer group has been really honest and straightforward in everything I’ve dealt with them. They have quite a few car guys that will just chat cars with me while my car is getting an oil change. I guess that’s why they’ve gotten my business for so long.

My wife and I are planning for future kids (on kid 1 so far) and a 3 row SUV will be her next car. It’s been interesting because she’s worried about storage space. I constantly remind her that what she’s asking for is a minivan and she freaks out every time proclaiming she’ll never own a mini-van. I find it funny more

I just got my car serviced a couple of days ago and was shocked how empty the dealer lots were. The Mazda dealer only had a couple of each model and some of their incoming cars were already spoken for with people who contacted the dealer ahead of time. The Porsche dealer said they had only 1 new car and 4 used on

Based on what’s on the auction block on Bright a Trailer right now (there’s a black one with similar miles already at $30k with 4 days left) and their history of sales, I’d say this could be right at the market price depending on the condition (not just the miles).

Now, I’d actually be ok with that... This... This is worse. Much worse....

I work at ford and was in quality for a few months while all of this was going down. There might have been a couple odd ones, but the manual transmission has been in the Focus and fiesta ST’s for a long time (and still in Europe) with very little issue.

Only the regular Fiesta’s since those almost all had the dreaded DPS6 dual clutch. The Fiesta ST was manual only and therefore immune to the massive recall horror story that the regular cars went through.

You just explained survivorship bias ;)

Just for you...

Thankfully, I’m not part of that team, so I don’t know. One of my managers is in the process of switching over to our program and he’s had many grey hairs added from the drama with that stupid hardtop (and we’re just interior. The exterior guys are have more “fun”).

I work at an american OEM (see other comments to quickly figure out which one) and I did a rotation through quality... yeah we’re still behind. Especially that first year when we launch a car (give away on which automaker)...

At least the grille isn’t the beever teeth design, but when I see the pattern, all I see are the adidas soccer cleats I almost bought...

Now playing

I’ll throw my hat in the ring to say it’s a Tacoma/Hilux, but I mostly just want to repost some great commercials from the early 00's

Don’t forget that they look awesome in North Pole/Iceland spec

I think it depends on the location too. I only got to drive the Miata in pretty flat conditions. If there were more bends and undulations, I wonder if it would have been more fun.

Totally agree. Options are great. If I had about 30-40k, I’d probably end up with a Mustang, but that’s because I work on the Mustang program (yes, I’ve seen the new one. No, I can’t say anything about it). But I really do love Japanese sports cars. Heck, my first car was a Prelude.

I think it comes down to expectations/what you want out of your vehicle. I haven’t had the pleasure of drive a Toyobaru yet (I really want to), but I’ve driven a Miata and I was shocked that I found it was significantly less fun than my time in my brother’s Fiesta ST. I know I SHOULD love the Miata, and I really want

Even though I’m very happy with my 2018 Mazda3, I’m STILL bitter that Ford canceled this generation of Focus ST for the US. I had money ready for it and was asking friends who were working on the vehicle about all the details. I can still remember the day my manufacturing friend warned me of the announcement to cancel
