This is the real answer. I work at Ford and for the first bit, I had a 2010 Mazda6... That was built at the same plant the Mustang is now built (Flatrock). In fact, the security cars were still Mazda6's when I last visited the plant. So my Japanese car (with partial ownership by Ford) was actually OK to park closer.

Ummmm.....

To each their own. That car looks absolutely disgusting to me (born in 1989 for refence since I think that’s a major factor to this debate).

Very true.

Haha that’s a really good way to put it. When I was a new hire, one of the senior leadership that was introducing the company told of a story right after Ford bought Mazda. He and other senior leaders were meeting with the Mazda president. The president made the comment “We at Mazda produce cars, you Americans produce

That metallic blue!!!! One day... One day...

No. The only requirements are to stay away from the red marked areas. Also, engineers are supposed to wear high visibility jackets since we move around so much. Otherwise, just wear whatever is comfy that allows you to walk/stand all day.

Yes ;)

I’ve been working at Ford for 6 years and have launched a few products (F150 and Super Duty plus a bunch of prototype builds of various cars). I feel like I know LESS about how an OEM gets a complete working vehicle out to customers now than I did before I started working.

I’m a big fan of gummy bears. Gives me something to chew on one at a time. Just make sure you don’t buy the sugar free ones ;)

Everyone from Apple to automotive are doing it. Apparently, it’s because “research shows” that personification of the items makes it easier for the consumer to make a connection with the product. Or something like that. It really bugs me too.

Starred for Fiesta ST comment :D

I had a friend who was heart set on getting a hot hatch and doing it right with a manual transmission. So I took him on a test drive in a Fiesta ST, he then bought one. I had to drive it home from the dealer for him and then we spent the next week practicing so he could be comfortable enough to drive to work. That was

Otherwise, get a Miata and rock life with that top down.

Fiesta ST!!!

I’m hovering around 31.4 mpg lifetime on my little Mazda3 despite treating any little curve as a corner on a track and revving freely anytime I desire. So I’m totally ok with it :D

My neighbors mom (who visits a lot) has that car and it’s amazing to see on a sunny day. It’s easily one of my top 5 OEM paint colors. Mazda Soul Red Crystal is probably up there too...

Totally agree. It’s stupid most everywhere.

I’m a big fan of the Long Beach Blue color on it too!

Just get a Porsche and do Paint to Sample. There are lots of colors to choose from and you get get exactly what you want. There might be too many choices though...
