Could you find a decent one that isn’t destroyed for $7k though... That would be my biggest hesitation on that car. Otherwise FIESTA ST FOR THE WIN!!!!!

No offense to Mercedes, but I feel like there should be a Smart car blockade on these things just like David Tracy has on with Jeeps. Too obvious. Although, that was a fitting recommendation...
Even though I only have a Mazda3, it’s a nicer interior than most of the Ford’s I’ve worked on so far that were 40k or below. Kinda sad that a struggling car company can make such a nice interior at a low cost when one of the world’s biggest struggle to do the same for double the money.
Yeah usually when it’s happened, I had to restart my phone and it was fine. There was only once where even turning off the car, letting everything switch off AND restarting the phone didn’t work. Otherwise, it’s been bulletproof.
When I lived out west so rust wasn’t really a thing to worry about. Now that I’m in Michigan, it’s a bigger concern. Granted, my 2010 Mazda6 was great even after 5 years in Michigan. There were some big quality jumps in the 2010 and 2014 generations.
Wow, first years are always a risk. My old 2010 Mazda6 was a first year build and it was great, except for a bad transmission bearing that decided to go out at 88k (the transmission itself was statistically very reliable. I was just one of those lucky guys...). Only thing that went wrong on the car for 9 years and…
When I see Lincoln dead last, all I can think of is that HORRIBLE launch of the Explorer and Aviator. The stories my friends were telling me about those early builds were... bad. Roush had to retrofit so many of them, it was insane! Hopefully they sorted most of those issues for the future models...
I’ve had my 2018 Mazda3 for a year and a half now and the only thing that has gone wrong in my car is a software glitch once or twice where it wouldn’t communicate with my phone for Android Auto. That’s probably just as much on Google, if not more.
So yeah. Loving my car as my little brother keeps having random things…
I’m not sure how I feel about the new fascia. It doesn’t feel like it fits with the original body at all... I think I prefer the old design to be honest. As for engine, I’m really curious what people will say now that they’ve addressed the torque dip.
You’ll enjoy this from Car and Driver circa 2010
I mean, I’ve slept in the back of a Chevy Cruze Hatch before. That was a little on the tight side, but if you’re in the fetal position, there are a lot of cars that an average sized person can sleep in (I’m 5'10").
Whatever you do, DON’t get a Mustang. A Mustang convertible on Hawaii is basically a sign saying “Hi, I’m a tourist.”
I consider my Mazda3 a warm hatch (even though it’s not a hatch). It’s not as fast in a straight line, but you can throw it around corners and get tons of satisfaction and grins. :D
The Ford Deep Impact aka Performance Blue is a really nice Ford version of San Marino. I feel like Dodge and Ford really carry the color banner for the “affordable” car segment.
And yes, we always talk about Fiesta STs (even though I still don’t own one...) but that’s a good thing :D
