I work at Ford currently, but my wife and I would love to somehow get to California or anywhere in the mountain west. However, total savings is a big thing we’re considering as we look around (some states are more affordable than others).

For me, 9 hours is kind of the breaking point. If the drive is around 9 hours or less, I’ll try to drive. Ever since I was almost left at the gate (twice. They held the plane once), I always get a little anxiety and try to get to the airport pretty early (even with pre-check).

My biggest problem with the way they did the series was by “story” rather than by race. I would much rather have seen the stories progress over episodes rather than be all told in a short episode. After 10, I remember thinking, “That can’t be it?!”

To be fair the first gen Escape, it was actually quite capable (if you didn’t mind ripping off the front fascia for a better approach angle). I got to see the Michigan proving grounds area where they tested that Escape and I was honestly shocked! I’m pleasantly surprised at the performance of this car. I know a lot of

E1 class is sub-1100 lbs. BYU set it back in 2014 at 204.9 mph. I was part of the team :D

That’s cool! I never got the chance to go to APG, even though I grew up 30 minutes from it (I tried working a deal where I’d work out there for the winter, so I could hang out with old friends for a bit before returning to Michigan). I guess they did some validation at MPG too, since those were the ones I got to see.

From Bronco6G: Hopefully Justin updates this article too.

4 door has manual transmission, optional 33" Goodyear MT with beadlock wheels and Ford Performance beadlock rings.”

Haha that’s amazing! I had no idea though I’m not surprised.

I got to see the trails at the Ford proving ground that the 1st gen Escape passed. I was really surprised but my supervisor told me the only way the car would do the stuff was by ripping off the front fascia. Once it was gone, the approach angles were enough

Funny enough, my name is Trey so that skit is really odd for me...

Add NC Miata Hardtop Convertible

Agreed. I’ve done the 405 stop go in a stick. Did it suck? Yes. Was it more sucky with a stick? Only a little. Was it so sucky that I’d get rid of my stick? No.

The M2 is literally the only new BMW that gets me excited. My brother is loving his right now and everytime I see one in Long Beach Blue, I drool.

Otherwise... yeah. I used to have the e46 M3 Comp package (in Interlagos Blue) hung up as a kid. I learned to drive on a Z3, the first car I drove over 100 was my dad’s 3

That makes sense. I’m no autocrosser, but enjoy weekend drives. So in that sense, the Z3 is more appealing to me since I’ll only ever take it to 7/10ths since I’ll never track it. At 7/10ths I don’t think the benefits of the Miata really shine, so that makes sense to me.

I dunno, I’ve never felt like I sat ON the car. I feel like that in WRX’s or GTI’s. I’ve driven Miatas (and enjoyed them), but I think they’re just different than the Z3. Also, that gen of 3 series is lauded nowadays, so I don’t really see it as a negative.

Good to know people think the BMW is the more expensive of the cars.

Looking at BaT, prices are kinda all over the board, ranging from high 8k to up to 20k (all non M cars). It really depends on mileage and color. This model is a pretty rare color combo (and I like it) but the mileage is a little high compared to other $12k 2.5L models that sold. If you got them to $10k, that would

I dunno about special. I’ve always felt special when I’ve driven my Dad’s 2.5L ;)

My dad has had a 2001 2.5L Z3 since it came out. It’s still in the family. One of the things he liked more than the Miata or S2000 when it came out? It could fit tall people. That’s HUGE for usability. In the passenger seat, his 6'6" coworker could fit just fine in the car. He’d NEVER been able to fit in a Miata and

Haha my wife is close. She’s 5'1". And I’d have to have the Recaros. I hated the normal seats.
