Huh, so you mean Hackett actually wrote something important in one of those HUDDLE articles??? Wow. I’m going have to go through my inbox now...

Johnny Leibermann from MotorTrend put it best when the current gen came out in 2015. “Looks worse than ever and in 5 years, we’ll think it looks great.” It’s exactly how I feel about the current gen. That concept got you so excited and then a glorified box came (which the wrx has always been) and you couldn’t help but

You may be waiting a long time for that WRX. I was really wanting to see that car but have given up hope that it will be shown within a year. Best I could see is a 22 model year....

What about a Hellcat engine swapped Avalon...?

Yeah, one is a daily commuter that is a nice place to be with a smidge of fun and the other is a hyper hatch cranked up to 11 with a low interior quality because money went to the engine. If you’re driving 30 miles each way for a daily commute in an area with terrible roads (cough Michigan cough), you’ll probably end

Fiesta ST is still the most Fun per dollar spent car I’ve driven. Even though I work for Ford though, I have a hard time recommending them with the litany of troubles my family has had. The FiST HVAC’s aren’t very good and easily die among a host of other issues. I almost bough one for a daily but thought better of it

See my reply to jumbojeepman. No matter what people try to say how slick they seem down, I just seem them as a terrible compromise. You make the car look dumb and clunky (in my opinion) half the time the car is used. A car doesn’t need pop up headlights to be slick.

Considering the photos of all the pop up headlight cars are in the day time, I don’t think that argument holds. Plus, cars can look really cool at night with designed in headlights.

Unpopular opinion:

Rebadged... As in they were 2 separate vehicles since platform stage forward? Got it. The Aviator and Explorer might share a platform/drivetrain and launch times, but other than they, EVERYTHING was engineered as unique models. Different teams, suppliers, targets, you name it. Heck, the stupid interior lighting LED’s

My wife and I haven’t had kids yet, but we’ve made an agreement that she’ll get something like a Telluride when we have multiple kids or her car is 8 years old (it’s at 3+ right now), whichever comes first. She’s incredibly anti-minivan, but I’m anti-Suburban/Expedition. This is the perfect middle ground for us.

Hmmm... Wonder if there would be certification hurdles it would need as well... I wonder if any tuners will try something like that...

I feel like a test drive will be the most important for figuring out whether that rear end change makes a big enough difference for your driving.

The thing about the manual that most of marketing doesn’t get is the TYPE of buyer they get by selling a manual option. Yes, take rate will never bee close to the auto, but manual buyers are passionate. They’re the people that people ask for car buying advice. I know I’ve personally helped over half a dozen friends

My wife and I laugh at every new Silverado that we drive by. To think that someone actually paid for something that looks that bad!!!

The most important option: Not-all-black-leather interior!

2 words: Market Research...

My coworker looked into that and got snubbed on that too. F150 buyers...

That’s exactly what was going on! See my comment lower on this thread. You hit the nail on the head!
