I tired the Golf, Impreza, and Mazda. Ended up with the Mazda. I didn’t even consider the Civic because of the looks. Which is sad because my first car was a Honda and I absolutely LOVED them for such a long time.

I want to see an actual human try to sit in optional 3rd row. I just don’t see how there could be any space for even a teenager in those seats based on the roof slope and what’s left of the luggage area in the above pictures.
Ford basically said last week it will only keep the plants open as long as there is still demand and will slow it down and close as demand drops.
That’s about where I am with it too. I’ve done a trip in the first gen Subaru Crosstrek, with the vaguest and most rubbery new shifter I’ve ever used, and that was still more enjoyable than any auto I’ve driven.
It’s probably for the people like me. To me, any manual is better than an auto. I know, call me crazy, but even in a VW DSG, I find my driving experience much more enjoyable in a manual. Plus, I’d probably just change bushings or other DIY fixes instead of compromising with an Auto. I’m special, I know.
Manufacturers already have platforms for different sizes. The Skateboard would just be that but package more powertrain parts in it.
So I moved from 16" steelies to 17" aluminum rims and dropped a few pounds on each corner. While not massive, I did notice my car was more willing to break just a bit more. It was to the point where I kinda had to relearn my car in the first week. That and the spring rate acted slightly bit differently. Otherwise, you…
I think color of the light isn’t brought up enough. The blue or green wavelengths are much harder on our eye than the red or yellow wavelength. Kinda like how the light pollution of cities went up when they switched to LED’s, because they used a Blue-white color instead of a yellower color like the old sodium vapor…
My thoughts about all the auto shows getting delayed or cancelled this year:
I’m honestly thinking that all the other leaks are coming because everyone who secretly snapped a picture are thinking to themselves “Well someone else posted it first, so I should be ok now.” Maybe one (like the headlight) might have been intentional, but I doubt ALL of these were intentional and there’s a wave of…
That reminds me of a time in college where I went classic skating for a friends brithday party. Lights were out, with neons flashing everywhere. I met one of her friends and thought she was cute. We hit it off on the skating floor. Then the lights turned on... She had more facial hair on her upper lip than me... Has…
Just wait a model year. It’ll be better anyways since the launch year is always the worst year, quality wise. So you get the best of both worlds: a cheaper vehicle and a better vehicle.
I’m really curious about the amount of leaks here. I helped on the Bronco team for a bit and asked them about it. None of them are happy and there are lots of talks about what to do to stop leaks. Basically, if it’s a marketing thing, a very small team has not communicated it to the anyone else and people in higher…
I actually just wrote a post about using Toyo Celcius’s on this thread. I got some for my wife this winter, and although we didn’t really need to use it much, we were able to test it. Compared to my winters, there’s still no contest, but compared to her (and my) old all seasons, it made a HUGE difference, especially…
I live in SE Michigan and use a Winter + summery All Season (I could do summers but my mazda3 isn’t setting any track records). However, for my wife, who doesn’t have extra rims, I got her All seasons that were 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake certified. I think they’re being called All Weather tires? We got the Toyo Celcius…
“You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody.” - Frank Sinatra
It definitely looks weird, like it was photoshopped to lighten the image or something. But that looks like the final assembly line at the new models plant, which I doubt is a stock photo location one could buy...
Same. I’m really sick of the sea of grey on the roads. Heck, I’d even take Beige becoming popular again just to add SOME color on the road...
