I think it’s more of the process. The American makes typically give manufacturability the short end of the stick, while Toyota is very big on making things easy and reliable to build. Also, there seems to be a difference in how studio and engineering tend to work together during the design process (more cohesive at…
I was thinking “yeah that would totally be interesting” then I was reading. Technical help? I’m probably not your guy then... ;)
They also had most of the design of the GT already done when it was debuted. It was at square one for the Bronco when it was announced at the same time. So two things making it seem longer than the GT: A head start and a super limited production/build.
The thing that really bugs me isn’t the car or the auction, but all the phones taking video/photos of the car. Basically no one is actually LOOKING at the with their eyes, but are looking up at their phones to see the car.
The problem is that when Mark Fields announced the new Bronco in 2015 at the Detroit Auto Show, he announced the START of the development cycle... I remember when I got to work in 2015 and asked how far along the Bronco was. I got a lot of blank stares and they told me it just started.

That really is a shame. I’ve heard that’s a real problem for Mazda too. I’ve fortunately had pretty much good experiences with all of the ones I’ve dealt with. We even went to one after a crappy Toyota and Honda experience.
Great! Now take off the rest of the day! You don’t need to learn anything else (man, I wish that could happen...).
I bet they haven’t made a coupe version is simply down to a low take rate making little financial sense.
I was talking about the Civic, but I’m currently pretty anti-monochromatic paint colors, so I probably won’t agree with you on that, especially since I own a red 3. But I won’t stop you from drooling all over a white one ;)
A very shiny unibrow...
If the Civic SI or R designs were calmed down, or more VW or Mazda’d in terms of design, I’d probably have strolled up to my nearest Honda dealer to give them a look. For now, I’ll wait, happy with my little 3
