I went to a few stores at 10 minutes past midnight one year. For people watching. It was sad and funny at times as you observed.

Luckily, I could tell that some already were looking for an out; some were sick of it, some had a great difference in incomes... I just got the ball rolling by contacting them around this time, explaining my situation. And that I didn’t want them to buy me anything in return. Most were fine, but some did buy me things…
