i’m not sure why people keep using irrelevant office job metaphors to try to make sense of a professional sports league based around competition, local fanbases/hometown pride, etc.

Sometimes you gotta drink the good beer and sometimes you gotta drink the bad beer.

Figuratively, maybe; Ryan Howard definitely has two better eyes, literally, but not a great “eye” for the ball when he bats. However, you have to remember than Ryan Howard, for as much criticism as he receives, was once a great hitter and is, after all, in the major leagues, while this other player is only in Single-A

Wow. For this big-time baseball blunder, looks like this guy’s today’s “Diamond Dope”! You’re outta there!! Hope you guys have a great Thursday

When I read this piece I was so angry that I did that which no man should ever do. Should I have done it? Perhaps not. But I suppose we’re all just staring wistfully out onto the ocean

Wrestling is fake in Japan, so probably not.

Great. Maybe next they can shut down the “dope lab” that keeps cranking out all of the members of our United States Congress!

Don’t worry, this is just a joke; wrestling in Japan is fake.

In Japan, wrestling is fake, so this is no big deal.

They planned that out ahead of time, it was just a joke. Wrestling in Japan is fake.

Oh really? You know that for sure? Prove it.

Ha! Reminds me of his famous political slogan, “Make America Great Again”. A Kinja +1 and a tip of my hat to you, you beautiful bastard, as you win all the internets today.

That’s an interesting theory, but I actually doubt Paul O’Neill had even heard of this story before. It’s certainly not a very popular one. If anything, he most likely endorsed Trump because of their similar politics.

Plus, if a “rude ham hock” had made it to the professional leagues in baseball, he probably would have just ended up having been eaten alive by one of the fat baseball players like Prince Fielder, Pablo Sandoval or David Ortiz, who would have actually thought that he was a real ham hock! Just kidding.

what about the “Dice Men”. or the “Dice Man”. or “Andrew Dice Clay”

thanks. i love these little updates
