Why do you have high liability limits? My insurance agent set me up with lower limits on my insurance policies (auto & homeowners), then set me up with a very large umbrella policy should either be insufficient on the liability front. Not sure if this is normal or even preferable...

I own a modern manual (and have owned others) and know about the clutch interlock, but even with it you should do that.

What if you put Rain-X on your windshield and drive in pouring rain without your wipers on?

I feel like none of this would work shortly after leaving the lot because GM.

You should shift to neutral before starting the car for safety.

You know, I still don’t know why modern manual cars that know what gear you’re in don’t display what gear they’re in. My wife’s automatic car shows it in spite of the fact that nobody cares what gear it is in.

But who needs that with automatic climate control?

Some of these have been on luxury cars for ages, like the light check. Many new cars have them now, too.

Preceded by nearly 30 years of wages barely keeping up with inflation while everything outside the inflation calculation that people must buy (housing, medical, and education) have gone up at many times the rate of inflation.

And butter. Where is my butter? This is just peanut mush.

Depending on context, a “banger” may be a beat up car. Potentially relevant.

Realistically, it is quite boring. So boring that people add complex and potentially deadly situations to it just trying to make it interesting.

I want to merge the Congress Challenge and Mariachi Challenge into a challenge to somehow smuggle all the instruments for a band into the US Capitol, then bust out in a song while one of the chambers is in session.

Why are you reducing the tire pressure there? It’ll have no tire pressure after only a handful of calls unless there is something else setting it. This would need to get called very frequently for best results.

Not entirely accurate, but sufficiently accurate. GPS can be far more accurate, but it requires that the receiver be in a fixed location sampling for an extended period to produce that accuracy.

It’s SIEMENS, their army probably couldn’t even identify a broken light bulb if their lives depended on it. Then the last person they had that knew how to replace a light bulb retired in 1998.

They actually are. Almost all captchas are exploiting average people to train “AI” algorithms.

“Siemens”

But they’re also international and I’m certain that Harley sells more cosplay costumes and accouterments (see their entire motorcycle lineup).

It’s news because the media makes it news and our dear cheeto buys into their spin. Harley is a small niche manufacturer with a very small workforce. The shifting of jobs for this one small manufacturer, no matter how “iconic”, is not worth worrying about.
