Local anesthesia and general anesthesia are extremely different. Local is is like shots at the dentist, general is being knocked out and unable to breathe on your own. It requires a specialist to monitor your vitals and make sure you don’t die because it’s dangerous. Way more dangerous than a 5 minute early term…
