I cry bad influence! Friends don't let friends hang out with Terry Richardson.

Shailene still has The Fault in our Stars coming up, at the very least, that movie's indie cred is about as impeccable as them come.
The show is a romantic comedy. It was pitched as a romantic comedy, is shot as a romantic comedy, and has always been marketed and described as a romantic comedy. It is really good at being a romantic comedy. I don't understand why people criticizing it for doing the thing it has always claimed to want to do.
Yeah, sorry, when I said "bullshit double standard" I meant that we should be demanding this MORE from everyone else, not that we should stop hoping for it from Mindy.
What I actually found most striking wasn't the gender stuff, but the constant insistence that men and women conform. (Like that line about "is he an INDIVIDUALIST??) Stuff from the 1950s is often so stereotypically 1950s it's shocking.
So, back in 88 or 89, my soon-to-be GRANDFATHER-in-law handed me a book, patted me on the shoulder, and told me to be good to his grandson after the wedding.
Except for being written over 60 years apart. Actually, this is more progressive than Princeton mom which indicates that the 1950 fantasy world of social conservatives didn't exist in the 1950's fantasy worlds either.
Those gifs are beautiful! Who is the second?
Darling, I think it's time for our coitus to be peppered with tumultuous vigor
I find it so very grating that this magazine constantly refers to the bride as a "girl" but the groom as a "man." Modern Bride, are you trying to imply that the woman should be much younger than her spouse, or simply that she ought to be vapid and childlike indefinitely?
All I learned from this is that Modern Bride mentioned female orgasms before Playboy did.
I do love that little cap-sleeved number in the lead image.
Not gonna lie. The idea of weddings without the ubiquitous and unflattering Sleeveless Gown is super appealing!
Am I the only one who wasn't totally charmed by this? Like without the cutesy music the conversations are completely awkward and SO. MANY. went straight for the tongue
Ha, I don't think the reveal detracts anything from that. As far as I can tell the people were still strangers to each other, and the chemistry between some of them is palpable.
Oh, so that's why they were all so pretty. Derp.
