Yeah, better when we can make jalopnik for happier reasons than this. Super shitty.

No. It’s a marketing scam. As soon as you introduce a spark plug to initiate the combustion event, it’s not compression ignition, no matter how hard you try to spin it.

So basically their marketing is a lie. It’s not compression ignition. It’s high compression spark ignition with multiple injection events. Because gasoline is too volatile to ignite through compression. If you use a spark plug to set off the combustion event it is not compression ignition. Period.

All this talk about the fancy new suspension up front and not a single picture of it?

Could you have come up with a worse comparison?

There’s an entire field of GTRs chasing big numbers. They are their own class. It’s got the same point as any other hobby or motorsport. Because they can.

No, they do a RWD burn out but run in AWD.

I spotted it and called it in the teaser.

Ari also did it in an Audi. He could also drive circles around Block. The idea is that the shot is done the same as one of the iconic ones in climb dance. And it most likely wasn’t by accident, since they had to time the shot fairly specifically.

Nice “Climb Dance” homage with the hand up driving into the sun.

... Backing a trailer up is not hard. Backing up a 53' 5th wheel in a straight line is almost as easy as going forward.

You overestimate how hard backing a 5th wheel up is. Especially one that long. The longer the trailer, the easier it is to back up straight.

Lol because GTA is a reasonable example. I’ve towed many things in many vehicles. I have been a professional driver. It’s not as complicated as you make it sound.

Lol. Yes. Back it out. Unless the boardwalk was too damaged to back it out, it’s not rocket surgery. And yes, I have experience. It’s not hard.

I’m trying to understand why they couldn’t just have him back out the way he came in....

Dealership tech here. No they aren’t. But rust belt techs have it tougher because they have to claim extra time for torches etc. Which the company will pay if you can explain yourself. They’re either not being paid according to the system, or they’re lazy and shitty at their jobs.

No you shouldn’t. Lazy people shouldn’t be rewarded and competent people shouldn’t be punished. Guarantees in low volume shops are only there to keep the techs there when the work is slow. If you’re good at your job and the work is there, there is no reason you can’t be over 8 every single day.

Just to be a display model, it’s clear.

You just worked in shitty shops. I did too. They’re not all like that. I worked in a flat rate union shop with a 38h weekly guarantee and guys still wouldn’t help each other or do anything they didn’t get paid for. Now I work in a non union shop, flat rate no guarantee, and somehow we all help each other and there are

Fuck these idiots. Work harder. I’m a flat rate tech at a dealership and I’d not have it any other way. Have been my whole career, and I make close to 200h in about 150h. Why the fuck would you want anything else? It rewards those who have ambition, skill, and talent, and penalizes the lazy. ...Oh wait, I guess I just
