Zabella, medicare only pays for initial and acute care at nursing homes. Unless you’re private pay after so many days (90 normally) it is medicaid that then pays the bills.

That’s crazy. At the home I work at once in a while you cannot move someone into another room unless you have written permission from: 1. their social worker 2. their responsible party 3. the resident if unimpaired and a legit certified need from the doctor.

You have to make the choice that is best for you. Do not let yourself get burnt out a caregiver.
