I hope you're right, but I feel like this is different. Especially since all signs point at Trump/Ailes/Breitbart working together towards some sort of new alt-right news outlet.
His first ad featured a bunch of SCARY BLACK PEOPLE in line to vote and a bunch of SCARY MEXICANS riding a train into the country.

The only common thread in the GOP is now white nationalism, and the party is going to have to reconcile that. Most likely scenario is a new third-party of white supremacists.

I'm pretty sure the people who saw Melissa McCarthy movies directed by Feig weren't "unsuspecting audiences." She's been a very reliable box-office draw, so obviously people like her and they go to see movies based on her involvement.
