That new GMC Denali tailgate is the most useless, idiotic idea in modern truck design. I was just at an auto show where it was demonstrated. After it’s done unfolding, it ends up sitting an inch in front of the hitch receiver. So, if you want to use it, you’d have to remove your ball hitch every single time.

As an ice fisherman, myself, I have questions. First question I answered myself. How heavy is a Tesla Model X compared to a current F-150? I usually won’t drive on a frozen lake with a full-size truck unless I have about 11" of ice in the very least. So, let’s see:

This design looks cool for an EV because it just looks like a cool car. It’s not extremely futurey. It doesn’t look like the high-tech bean that car manufacturers seem to think we want in an EV. It just looks like a really cool little car.
