I’ve never understood how drivers do the initial pendulum swing of the Scandinavian Flick without careening off the course. Is the car locked up when the driver does that? What sort of pedal-work is going on there?

It really looks like he fell asleep at the wheel to me. One of my family members did this exact thing. She fell asleep at the wheel, crossed over the center line, woke up when it was almost too late, and corrected into the opposite lane’s ditch. She skidded to a halt sideways on a very steep incline. It’s a miracle…
