I’m actually shocked by this. I was sure he would get prison time because he didn’t have the “I feared for my life” excuse.

I thought that was a big media story.

I read a book about serial killer Michael Swango. When he was first accused his mother was completely supportive because she thought he was innocent. After the trial, she concluded he was guilty and refused to pay for his appeal. It’s one thing to support someone when you don’t know all the facts. But another to

I agree this is probably a normal reaction for family members. From what I understand, Nicki is very close to her brother. I think it’s a very tough situation for her to be in.

Any time a famous person is connected to something, the media will bring it up. Look up the story of actor Johnny Lewis. He murdered his landlady and then committed suicide. He had dated Katy Perry years before the incident and she was mentioned in almost every story when her past connection to him was completely

Molesters rarely have one victim. And the guy is 37. I think this story may get uglier.

It was incorrectly reported in the media a while back that she’d paid his bail. A lot of people on music forums were condemning her for it. It turns out it was their mom who put up the bail. I don’t think it would destroy her career to help him but it could do a lot of damage.

I wonder how Nicki will react to this. She could get him the best lawyers money can buy increasing the chance he won’t be convicted. But if she does that, it could seriously damage her career.

It’s asking too much to expect any kind of institution to police itself. They’re always going to put the needs of the institution ahead of individuals. That’s what we see when it comes to molestation within private schools, universities and churches all the time.

I don’t like his music (or him) but he’s critically acclaimed so he must be doing something right if he pleases picky music critics. Just because his stuff isn’t to your taste doesn’t make it a joke. It just means its not to your taste.

Do free trials usually remain in effect for the full month even if you immediately cancel? A couple of times I’ve signed up for trials and then canceled a couple of days later. But the trial remained in effect for the full month.

I’d love to see his tweet. Did he claim it would only be available on Tidal forever or that it was only available on Tidal at that point in time? I once bought an EP that was advertised as only being available directly from the artist’s website on CD. That was the only way to get it. Six months later it was made

Streaming it in some way is better. It’s humiliating for the victim obviously but the rapist could have grabbed her phone and deleted the video. At least when it’s streamed there’s nothing he can do.

Convicted rapists can get very harsh sentences. I don’t think the problem is really that rape as a crime isn’t taken seriously. It’s more that women are so rarely believed when they report it. It’s like people want to bury their heads in the sand and pretend it doesn’t really happen that much. For some reason it’s

I love her singing and music (minus those awful songs she’s forced to release as singles). Her dress-sense depends. Sometimes she looks great. Other times I wonder if she looked in the mirror before she left the house.

Lyrically the Zedd song is more appropriate to her situation than Cyndi’s song.

I seriously doubt that since they don’t like poor people and are usually adamant about keeping unskilled immigrants out of the country. This is simply another excuse to scare doctors away from practicing abortions. And they’re against abortion because they see it as a way to control women. Their desire to control and

It does seem like Asian Americans practice sex selective abortions. I still don’t agree with a bill like this though. I think every child should be a wanted child. I also see nothing wrong with telling parents the sex of a fetus. A right shouldn’t be taken away from everyone because a tiny percentage of people abuse

Because they don’t care about babies. They care about fetuses.

I think the point they’re making is that campaigns should get permission directly from the artists before buying a license through their publishers. That way they avoid the embarrassment of the artist calling them out for using their music.
