I think we might be coming back to these two movies (IW/A4) a lot and realizing how intricately plotted they actually are. There’s so much on screen and none of it is waste or filler. However impressed I was with it, I think it might actually be even better than my first impression?

Yep. Strange played the long game because “it was the only way” to win. Eager to find out what he knew and how losing provides a path to victory, I love that shit.

What I don’t understand is why is their devotion to this portrayal of Apu so complete that they’re willing to double down and make this what people will remember them for? How difficult would it have been to just, like, say “Alright, you might be right. We won’t do that anymore.” What is dragging this shit out…

You missed the entire part of the movie after he kills the henchman where he’s freaking out about how that’s not what he signed up for, he doesn’t want to kill anyone and only wants to save lives? Because that was definitely part of the movie?

Except for the whole part of Doctor Strange that he refuses to kill. Like, the whole ending of Doctor Strange was him finding a way to defeat Kaecilius without killing him: instead ironically granting him eternal life.

I expect a Thor 4 at least. I think Hemsworth had too much fun in 3 and Waititi wants to do it again.

Tony and Steve are out one way or another. Hulk has always been in a weird position because of movie rights.

He was an Avenger for a while, but he was more appropriately part of the Illuminati- a council of superhumans who each lead their own super teams and made decisions on behalf of the planet- along with Tony, Prof. X, Reed Richards, Black Bolt, Doctor Strange, and Namor.

This movie has been finished for months-any plot decisions were made long before Black Panther dominated the box office.

What kind of affected me is I expect the dead to come back without any knowledge of their death: but Rocket watched everyone die. He watched Groot die AGAIN. He has to carry that weight, especially after that whole “I actually have a lot to lose” moment with the Pirate Angel.

I really like the ending not for being a shock downer ending, but because it’s a brilliant maneuver to make the fourth movie smaller and more intimate instead of bigger and explodier. End it with the OG crew + the comic book OG crew Ant-Man and Wasp. That’s perfect.
