It’s only been number one for two of the last three weeks so it doesn’t count.

And the movie was genuinely better off for not bothering to provide context for the majority of the characters IMO. That would’ve been one hell of a slog.
Yeah, in this instance something closer to 50% would be more appropriate
Everyone is calling it Avengers 4 but it’s obviously just Avengers 3 and a half
Replace Vision with a Wakandan-built Monae-as-Jocasta
Here for this. Steve’s arc from idealistic hero trying to do the best good for the world to paranoid loner who has watched everything get taken from him by people who thought they knew better is the core of the MCU for me.
Because if there’s anything the communist left is known for, it’s really liking Hillary Clinton.
I knew this was going to happen, but I still hoped it wouldn’t. I liked this movie a lot. I don’t understand how you do it again and make it worthwhile.
“No no no, this isn’t my fetish it’s uh. It’s feminism.”
I feel like it didn’t really ignore it that much. Tony doesn’t end that movie saying “I’m done with Iron Man.” He destroys it as a symbol of being done with his obsession of making himself safe. We see what he moves on to: trying to replace himself entirely, creating Ultron.
Which makes it weirder that he has done nothing.
Nah, the first one was really good. I’m not big on Whedon these days either, but he did a really good job bringing the team together in a believable way and giving them all character growth and screentime while presenting a pretty darn good plot. Superhero movies have moved beyond what it achieved, but the achievement…
I’ve heard it both ways
Someday we’ll get Kamala Khan and then we can have Lockjaw back.
I don’t doubt that it’s going to have a monster opening weekend. But even if it is good enough to encourage a lot of repeat viewings, it only has three weekends before Deadpool 2 completely cuts off its legs.
I don’t actually expect IW to beat Black Panther, TBH. That might be the peak.
But y’know what? I think Marvel also expected that they had peaked with the first Avengers and were content with just making a buttload of money with each subsequent release rather than a metric asston. And they will absolutely continue on…
wtf is starz lol
Why does there have to be a gap that needed to be filled? Why can’t something just be itself and fun and interesting on its own merits?
Oh shit, the alternate universe where Lee lives and becomes Neo is definitely the better one, that’s amazing.
Playing with this, it looks like at the lowest end of this thing’s size, it would still cause a high-altitude airburst with the force of a B83 nuke, which is currently the most powerful nuke the US keeps in active service. At the worst end, it would impact the Earth with the force of 3 B83s, leaving a crater over a km…
