He’s real, and he’s fabulous
I was really into that first season, but every time I’ve tried to watch it since, it’s felt false and bad. I remember one season, I think Drew Carey was a judge, and after auditions the judges actually got super pissed because like, no one they actually liked moved on to the next round and they were actually told on…
He should be trying to think of a pun based on current events to write as his name every single episode.
The Ridley from Metroid is more qualified than the current president.
He comes off as a pub trivia guy who has decided not to tone it down for Jeopardy. As a pub trivia guy with designs on being on Jeopardy, I appreciate it.
Dear Little Caesars:
I basically assumed this is how you ran your business anyway, you’re Little Caesars. It’s cool, we’re fine.
I believe he planned a sequel called Mr. Shadow, but has never committed to trying to make it.
I’m sure if anyone is capable of restraint in pursuing a cash grab by running a good thing into the ground, it’s Lorne Michaels, right?
NO ONE TOLD ME AMY ACKER WAS IN THIS.
FINE. I’LL WATCH ANOTHER DAMN SUPERHERO SHOW YOU TYRANTS.
I’m listening.
I suppose that question hinges on the idea that the previous first lady would do something like only send books to school with top test scores, ignorant of the fact that test scores correlate strongly with wealth (and race!) I bet she would not.
Of course, stating that the current first lady is ignorant of that fact…
I guess what I’m saying is: different versions of things can exist. It’s a fiction, it doesn’t actually matter. Kang, Koloth, and Kor were actual characters that went from smooth headed and basically human looking in TOS to bumpy in DS9, disregarding continuity, and there was no explanation nor did anyone really care…
I dunno. Why doesn’t Batman dance anymore?
Believe me, it’s totally a thing I struggle to move past because I actually do care, but try really hard to be like ”Who cares, it doesn’t actually matter what a Klingon looks like, they’re still clearly Klingons.”
Boy, you’re just all over this thread with some sort of point of view ain’tcha? I’m sorry a librarian didn’t accept something she didn’t ask for, didn’t want, didn’t need, and had no use for from someone she doesn’t like and instead informed them how they might actually be a useful human being.
I’ve been into Trek since I was 3 and I enjoyed Discovery well enough. Episode 2 is a big improvement on episode 1 and the story moving forward hooked me hard for big ol’ nerd reasons.
Or you could read the librarian’s actual response suggesting that donating books to a library in an already wealthy, predominately white neighborhood is dumb, giving suggestions as to better places to choose, but nah the White House’s narrative makes for better clickbait, good job AV Club!
She’s also the reason we never got a proper TOS-era Star Trek 7!
I have half a script for a new Star Trek pilot written and I don’t feel good about that; no sir I am not proud of that fact at all.
Yeah, this is a shocking amount of restraint compared to 90s SNL.
Look, if an alien race came down and said “you guys suck and you’re gonna be our new livestock and we’re just gonna eat the lot of you” I probably wouldn’t argue too much about it.
