Huh. That actually makes me more excited to see it. I really didn't want to sit through another masturbatory WW2 epic- Spielberg and Eastwood have made that material so well-worn, it's a trench unto itself- but if it's really that short it might be worth watching.

Counterpoint: Return of the King, where we've gone well past the CGI fight and now have half an hour of hugging.

I don't think the plot of The Gunslinger needs to be meticulously followed as such, but there's a feeling that book evokes that I love. The quiet desert desolation. A world somewhere between a Sergio Leone movie and the despair of The Stand. That's nowhere in any of these trailers.

DONKEY KONG

It's coming out in 10 months, you'd think it might have a name. Of course, a few weeks ago, you'd have also thought they weren't going to switch directors but ha haaaa.

Shouldn't that have been reflected in the opening BO, though?

I'm actually disappointed by the legs on Homecoming. I feel like it's a better movie than a 61% second weekend drop.

The very first movie the wife and I saw in theaters after the birth of our son was Inside Out. It was the first time we left him with someone else and neither of us was home with him.

It's weird how often I think of any particular scene of an extremely short lived animated series based on an R rated movie by Kevin Smith.

Something something fire blunder

I think a Hulk movie now, with Ruffaluffalo and probably Black Widow in a supporting role, would do a lot better than the previous two movies.

I got half a chubby from this wordplay.

There is no Cara Delevingne role where Karen Gillan is not a better choice.

Is…Karl Urban particularly expensive? I love the guy, but he seems to just be willing to do anything he thinks is cool. So he's in a ton of cool shit.
