I've heard that as a complaint, actually (mostly from Mike Mitchell on Doughboys, who is kind of an idiot, but). The characters in TFA feel and talk like relatable, modern people rather than actors struggling to bring emotion to stilted dialogue.

TBH, that's one of the few things I love about the prequels. Lucas looked upon this beloved action-packed space epic and said "This need more politics." That's insane and the best.

There's more hours of pretty great Firefly media than Alien, TBH, and way fewer hours of shit.

To be fair, Alien also has a handful of good comics and video games.

Giving up early in the first season is totally correct and understandable, but those of us ho foolishly pushed through were pleasantly surprised by a very funny but weirdly dark and poignant show in the second season.

That's largely his problem. He's a fantastic, visual filmmaker whose aesthetic demands…not huge budgets, but sizable ones. And he can't bring in the BO to justify it and it's INFURIATING.

Lost didn't go past six seasons. I could've actually gone for a seventh if it were truly committed to tying up loose ends and it meant spending more time with Ben Linus.

"Spiritual successor to System Shock 2" is an annoying buzzphrase for games that never quite live up to that. I hope this does.
