I'm a fan of the artwork but even I think it's stupid to have them on a stamp. But I feel that way about the use of cartoon characters or other insipid things used to get collectors and the general public to buy unused sheets of stamps at jacked up prices.

As a fan of Tom of Finland, I was surprised as hell to see this stamp at all. It seemed like a pretty clear case of creating demand for a product meant to get attention. Which was fine.

He could have used so many other methods to contact and ask her. The attention-seeking manner of what he did is what makes me despise his actions. It's not cute. He deserves the three-day suspension.

I think it's good to deal with things in a realistic way and not pretend. I don't think there is anything wrong with sex workers. They do a service for society and are necessary. But nobody wants there child to be one. Why lie about it? Should things be different? Yes. Are they different? No.
