So this exact scenario happened to me several years ago.
A new, recurring Kotaku feature:
My girlfriend started this game and she is OBSESSED. It’s all she does and thinks about for like three days now. Though the game seems exceedingly difficult...? Like maybe too much?
How disheartening. HR was one of my favorite games of its generation and I havent started mankind divided yet. But I will go into it with blind optimism despite all these well proffered opinions!
I got as far as Mercy ONCE. Even in complete anguish, the mode was super addictive, which is the mark of a good game.
I think the snowball thing is sort of funny, but not really THAT fun. It gets better after a few tries, but I definitely don’t want to go back to it.
Color me shocked...I honestly thought it’d cost much more.
Balloon Fight hasn’t held up well?! It’s maybe the most replayable game on this list! It held up so well it became the best game on Nintendoland! Sacrilege!
Sad there was no “head established”.

Your transparency is both refreshing and an asset, Stephen. Congrats and good work.
Elephant in the room: who reached out first? Kotaku or Ubisoft?
(Former) Rams fan. Don’t watch the NFL anymore.
THE POKEMON GO TOY WATCH KILLER
The subtext of Mario Run is that the NX will fundamentally interact with their mobile games. There is no chance they compete against themselves.
I can’t believe Nintendo finally published my 2008 fan fiction!
