I do not see any evidence that it is a violation of the first amendment. The first amendment prevents the government from passing laws or regulations to restrict your speech or favor one viewpoint over another. It does not protect you from government officials discussing your speech or the consequences that might flow

Candlestick could get pretty hot even though it rarely got about 80 F. Sitting in the direct sunlight with no shade for four hours will do that to you.

Yeah, but they are a lot closer to Manhattan, just across the river really. The Raiders and the A’s and the Warriors are in a pretty similar situation, although none of them calls themselves a San Francisco team.

Well, most of the seats are licensed, so technically, it is sold out or pretty close to it. That does not mean people show up to the game or stay in their seats.

I took MUNI to almost every game. So did thousands of other people. Those busses and trains were numerous and crowded.

Season tickets to Candlestick had been in my family since before they won their first Superbowl. I went to nearly every game starting with the year before they drafted Alex Smith. Their first game under Harbaugh, there were more Dallas fans in the stands than 49ers. The ‘Stick stunk and was a human traffic jam.

Just as a pedantic note, tax evasion is an illegal, potentially criminal act where an individual or entity violates tax law in order to lower their tax burden.

I think that it is more that a Teriyaki bistro is a Seattle thing. There are plenty of Japanese places in San Francisco and Los Angeles, for instance, but not many places that specialize in Teriyaki or Japanese Barbecue.

Before DACA, there was no way for Jose to, “get his immigration status sorted out.” That is like telling a gay couple that they should have gotten a marriage license before same-sex marriage was legalized.

Jose did not break the law. His parents did.

Jose did not break any law. His parents did.

Have a little empathy. Jose had no choice in his parents’ decision. Imagine how you would feel if you found out tomorrow that your parents committed fraud and your legal status was annulled?

Five Presidential elections ago, I was a senior in high school voting in my first election. In Alabama, they finally repealed a law banning interracial marriages, but about 1 in 3 voters choose to oppose the repeal. In my home State of California, we voted 3:2 to ban same-sex marriages, even though none had been

Counter-battery fire works well when you are defending a specific position against some Iraqis with one of Saddam’s old mortars, but would not be as effective against North Korea. Even the Iraqis learned to do things like delay the firing to leave the area.

The Obama administration banned the transfer of tracked armored vehicles, bayonets, and grenade launchers to police departments.

Unlawful entry into the US is not usually a crime. It is a civil offense. Also, even in the cases where it is charged as a crime, the average age of entry of a DACA recipient into the US is six years, meaning most are far too young to have mens rea, meaning that they could not be guilty of a criminal act by entering

The average DACA recipient is 26 and arrived in the US at age 6, which means they have been living in the US as long as a new American-born adult. Unlike American citizens, they are required to stay out of trouble with the law and contribute to the US by doing something like going to college or joining the military.

Would you voluntarily get on a plane tomorrow if you learned you were not a citizen tonight? I doubt it. I think if you think that you would immediately return to your “birth” country you are probably not be truthful with yourself.

Discrimination based on someone’s immigration or citizenship status is prohibited by The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. § 1324.

Your response does not address my questions. Some children know they are not legal residents. Some children do not. At the end of the day, even if you knew all your life that you were not a lawful resident but from another country, I doubt it would change things much, because you were raised American.
