Would love to know his take on the whole EA vs Nintendo episode, now that he has no dog in the fight.

No Mac/Linux support from the get-go or as a stretch goal = no sale, as far as I'm concerned. I wish it the best of luck, though. It seems like it has a lot of potential.

Hmmm, no it won't... It's coming to PSN, XBLA and Steam.

I own a Wii U and I'm pretty sad to see the current state of things. It obviously won't be my only console this gen (I plan on buying a PS4), but, even so, it pains me to see a pretty great and innovative piece of hardware failing to attract users and developers. I just hope that they're able to pull off a 3DS-like

Live previews would be overkill on any device pre-iPhone 5/iPad 3 (and I honestly think they're pretty much unnecessary), but the rest is easily achievable without eating up too much RAM/CPU cycles or completely annihilating the battery.

Really..? I can build a rig that's almost as good as next-gen hardware for that price. I seriously doubt that the "Piston" will be able to deliver that kind of performance. I'll wait and see, but it seems like an overpriced piece of mid-range hardware to me...

Unfortunately, no...

If what Ruck_Bogers said had been "the truth", I'm pretty sure it would've stung.

Of course! And I completely agree.

It must be painful to be THAT ignorant.

When a person like my 77 year-old grandpa can pick up an iPad and, in just a few weeks, get familiar with the OS and discover things like 4-5 finger gestures without anyone explaining it to him, you know you have a really intuitive OS.

This would be right at home on the PS3 (or Vita), especially if they assigned each shape to the corresponding button on the Dualshock.

Last year I traded my launch-day 3DS for a Vita. In a few weeks, I'll be trading my Vita for a black 3DS XL. Don't get me wrong, I actually really like the Vita, and with PS Plus I get free games every month, but the console fails to keep me invested in it and nowadays it just sits on my desk collecting dust. Maybe

PS3 is getting a major architectural shift from a PowerPC-based Cell to an x86 AMD CPU. If you actually believe a current-gen 8-core AMD x86 CPU is able to perfectly emulate the complex architecture of the Cell, you're the uneducated asshat who believes anything. Sure, they can use Gaikai, but I doubt they have

I bought a 360 on launch day, in 2005. Since then, I've switched to the 360S, due to its (somewhat more) reliable hardware.

That's probably gonna happen on the game's 10th anniversary, in 2014. Still, Halo 2 is already on the PC, so that's not an improbable scenario.

Rumors point to a lack of backwards compatibility on the new Xbox and Halo 3 still has a huge community of players on the 360. I'd say that releasing the game on PC would be a good way to keep the game and its community alive, while also garnering new players who haven't "jumped in" because they didn't buy a 360.

Rumors point to a lack of BC on both the PS4 and the new Xbox. The fact that they both rely on completely new CPU/GPU architectures is enough to back those claims (especially on the PS4). And yeah, I'll probably be getting a PC as my "next-gen" system.

I'm pretty sure it will come to Steam as soon as the new Xbox gets announced. Apparently, there will be no backwards compatibility on the new system, so what's the best way to keep playing Halo 3 with your buddies (also, with better graphics, resolution and framerate)? PC, of course! Microsoft would have to be crazy

I doubt that the audio on these trailers is edited/mastered by the game designers...
